This is the story of Teddy Stoddard and his elementary school teacher Mrs Thompson…
It is a story about the danger of preconceived ideas…
and what happens when we decide to look at things another way.
It is a story sure to touch your heart.
I cry every time I watch it.
Just thought you would want to know
In case you wanted to get the tissues ready.
Who’s life are you going to affect today?

What a fine story! Yes it brought tears to my eyes. Keeping ourselves alert to “another viewpoint” ay really open our hearts to life! Bravo.

Wow: it is true… children come to teach us the lessons of the masters. Lessons of life itself, that we adults forgot while growing hardening our hearts. Children bring the fresh message of the beyond to awaken us. I am in a classroom every day and I pay very much attention to every child. I go to school to learn my life lessons every day. I am so grateful that I am open to all possibilities. I did not loose all my childhood innocence after all. Thank you for this posting.
It is a beautiful story brought tears to my eyes too…
It is true, preconceived ideas are very dangerous, I most of the time try to avoid them by staying open and asking for explaination for the specific behavior before making up my mind.

In every one of us there is genie to be realised, but the genie is always masked by pain, hardship or suffering. Oftentimes were not able to respond the situation very well.In many instances people become withdrawn or rebel. The trick is how do you connect to the good side of the rebel. If we do believe that the rebel has good side then we will be able to connect. However, if we think that the “rebel” is not good enough, then we “horribilize” the rebel and we will always disconnect with the rebel. In fact, this story boils down to how we percieve others – whether we see people as people or we see people as no people, and our judgement will determine our response
It’s a very moving story, but sadly only a work of fiction:

fiction or not still is a beautiful story and a great way to destroy preconceived ideas. Sometimes just talk to that person and find out what is going on instead of assume you know. Assume nothing it, because when you do it makes you an ass.
Beautiful and very touching story! I cried while watching it even though I was at the office at the time.
