You can read about these principles in the book THE KYBALION first published in 1908 by The Yogi Publication Society. It was republished in 1988 by Tri-State Press in Clayton, Georgia. I think the book is still in print. If not, try your local librayr or ebay or even Amazon.

I support people becoming knowledgable about spiritual principles when dealing with the popular topic of manifestation and “Law of Attraction.” There is a lot of partial information out there. As has been said in the past in various circles “a little information can be a dangerous thing”. Remember the Disney movie “The Sourcer’s Apprentice”? People, especially people who feel fearful or desperate, and others who may be new to the territory of spiritual studies, can be easily disillusioned when they do not experience certain payoffs of manifestation. Getting what you want [and what is the you that is wanting] can be more problematic than not getting what you want. Many factors are involved, including the level of balance or imbalance of the ego itself, let alone its relationship to the soul or psyche.

Our culture is very materialistic in many ways [including spiritual materialism] and the person exploring personal empowerment and spiritual development can be sidetracked with various levels of glamour. So it pays to do your homework. At least on a basic fundimental level when working with law of attraction and manifesting, end your intent, your practice, your “vibrational resonance” with declairing “this or something better in alignment with my highest good”. It’s one practice that can be a safe guard against manifesting something that ends up being more problematic than beneficial.

For one thing, the Law of Attraction works in unison with the other Universal Principles. They are all equally relevant.

In addition, it appears that in the effort to apply or explain the Law of Attraction, control and creation are frequently confused. Control is power over, creation is empowerment. Control is motivated by needs, fears and ego gratification. Creation is motivated by passion, creativity, and personal change. Control is about acquisition. Creation is about self growth.

The real intention of the Law of Attraction is to enable us to realize our potential and true purpose by motivating us through our desires. We desire something because we believe it will make us feel a certain way, make other’s treat us a certain way, or eliminate certain fears.

The suggestion to act as if you have already achieved your desire, is misinterpreted. Acting as if I am already famous by doing whatever it takes to make the right connections, only be seen with the right people, arranging scenarios to get the press to take notice, , buying everyone dinner, or developing a image that sells, etc. is a simplistic approach.

Instead, you must carry yourself, assert yourself, trust your decisions, walk into any establishment with like you belong, have a sense of importance, trust that what you say and do matters, confidently be your true self, learn how to communicate effectively, experience a sense of freedom, however you think being famous will change you – actually be and feel like the person that you believe you will be when you are famous.

You don’t create what you want, you create what you are being.

Universal principles are guidelines to assist and motivate us to make the necessary change and take the next step to realize the way to your personal fulfillment, wholeness, and inner peace.

Practice being and feeling like you think you would if you were already famous, and you will begin to feel that way. You will have created your true desire whether or not you actually acquire stacks of fan mail.

Or your can simply focus on getting famous – choosing lucrative opportunities, develop whatever image sells, associating with the power brokers, fitting in, and making fame a priority above all else.

We have free will after all and can choose which ever path we please.
But when we focus on the acquisition of a material desire rather than identifying the need, feeling, or quality that is motivating that desire, we will quickly become disillusioned.

Then we are compelled to strive for even greater fame or choose some other achievement that will fill the nagging discomfort inside.

We can have fame and fulfillment. But the thrill of fame will be fleeting and stressful if we don’t alot exercise self honesty, insight, and the courage to make the require changes.

Then we will truly be the person we have envisioned, regardless of public opinion.
