If you want to change anything about the way you are feeling or living, you
are going to have to change something about the way you are thinking. If
you want to realize your Heart’s desires, you must learn how to think about
them in a way that will somehow encourage, stimulate, or cause that to
The first step in getting exactly what you want is identifying exactly what
you want. Without an idea of what you are trying to create for yourself, how
will you know when you’ve got it? This may seem obvious to you; but this is
the single, most important detail of the creation process – and one of the
most overlooked. What exactly is it you want? That’s the first place to
start – with your desire.
What you want – and why you want it – provides you with a destination, plan,
and incentive for all your actions; if you know what you want, and why you
want it, you’ve got a reason for everything you do – and you have a general
idea of what direction you should be heading in. If you don’t know what
you’re looking for, or why you’re looking, what keeps you looking – and how
will you know when you’ve found it?
First things first; decide what it is you want – and why you want it.
Get a notebook, take as much time as you need, and write it down now.
Be as specific as possible with your desires. Keep a journal if you can; and
go back to it from time to time adding details to your goal or desire. Most
people have a long list of things they don’t want; but very few have a long
list of details about the one thing they most want. Think about what you
want and why you want it. Make a list of things you like about the desire
you wish to manifest. Make a list of reasons you want to be, have, or do
this thing you wish to create; and make a list of how it will feel when
you’ve reached your goal or achieved your desire.
In your notebook or journal answer these questions…
*How will I feel when I reached my goal?
*How will it look when my goal has been reached?
*What will I hear when I reach my goal? How will my goal sound?
*What will my goal feel like?
*What are the smells and tastes associated with my goal?
Keep in mind, most people do not think about their dreams or desires in
this kind of detail; because most people are too busy thinking about what to
eat, what to do next, what to watch on television, what their kids are
doing, negative news stories they are constantly being fed, worrying about
money, work, their health, and scores of other things. And, as you could
probably guess, most people are experiencing some form of those things in
their own lives. As humans, we tend to get some version of the things we
think about. Once you really know what you truly want, it is so much easier
to form good prayers, thought-forms, and strategies for doing all you can to
realize your goals and dreams.
