Born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1963. I was brought up with a freedom to think and express myself, quite revolutionary for our society in those days.
Survived 3 major wars in Lebanon, one of which was a civil war that lasted 17 years, that left an immense impact on my personality and my search for inner peace and evolution.
As a child, I always sketched, drew and even painted on my bedroom walls. However, I started painting “seriously” about 10 years ago. I can say that I am mainly self taught, though, attended Saturdays painting classes regularly.
I paint when I am happy and joyful. Painting is a joyous journey for me, a way to remember that there is a Beyond when we go within. It is my method of connecting to the Universe. And my suffering is when I loose this connection, this remembrance, this way of BEING (story of my life really..!)
I am mainly inspired by human emotions. For me, each one of us is a Universe by itself.
I am a kindergarten teacher by day and an artist all the remaining of the time. As I like to say: Teaching is my vocation, Painting is my passion.
Participated in collective exhibitions in Beirut, Lebanon.
Each of the following was painted onto wood with Acrylics. Interested in bringing one into your own home? Email Tala at talabeydoun@hotmail.com to learn more…

I really like these intimate paintings. Thanks.
There is a very ethereal quality to your works – very nice Tala!
“Pray” is really a wonderful piece. Ironic in the sense that it is very dark in colors yet an image that could be viewed the other way around!
Your picture’s, everyone of them give me a different feeling, looking at them, seeing them with the title, is that what does that, [feelings], is that right? The title and the picture together.
i go by feelings, thank you.

Very nice expression of the innerself. Thank you for sharing.
getting out of the picture is fabulous. it just works.. the colours so beautiful and perfectly compliment each other and the balance hits me ontop of the head sending thrills. it just feels good and warm . you nailed that one probably without even trying too hard. thats usually where the best of intuitive works slip thru ,usually taking on a life of their own, good painting for sure.
