Yes, Blue Planet Run is doing some fantastic work. We have been making connections with various organizations we might collaborate with and are looking forward to a conversation with Blue Planet Run.

And yes, “little brothers and sisters” is a term I heard a year ago referring to the children of the planet. I will make sure that is clearer in future communications. I like the concept because it resonates with my Native heritage that recognizes the people we care about (blood relations or not) as family. You would be pleased to know our program is not at all presumptuous. It is designed to work with local professionals, together as a team, recognizing that their wisdom and expertise is needed for meaningful implementation and results for the people. Our job—as family that cares about their need—is to share an idea, a product, and gather the data.

Colloidal silver actually was approved by the FDA in 1938 and meets EPA,WHO and European Guidelines for safe drinking water. Silver was used to purify water even in the magnificent aqueducts of Rome, so it has been purifying water for a long time. We are collaborating with World Health Alliance International to keep our costs down, and making sure it remains constantly in supply is one of our opportunities. Indeed, it is known to be an effective response for many diseases and we are hoping this will be a significant benefit to the water purification.

Living in Borneo, I can say from my experience, that most people would simply think it means the children, since that was the headline. (Unless they come from a place of immediate super-suffering and hyper-sensitivity to other issues, which come packaged and perceived as Western arrogance and worse.)

This feeling certainly exists, but in this case I hardly think it’s activated!

I’ve never heard of even the most patronizing, condescending, self-righteous, do-gooder person calling whole peoples or adults, as ‘little’ brothers and sisters…

But it does mean we have to watch our communication, especially when dealing with differing cultures.

As for Colloidal Silver, this is a great solution and an old one, before the advent of antibiotics. It’s safe but in my experience, expensive. Also there is colloidal silver and colloidal silver, according to the literature. There are devices to make your own, but I’m confused about the quality and differences.

BUT, I would venture to say that the ‘best’ colloidal silver, will solve NOT ONLY the water quality issues, but ALSO the infectious disease problems once contracted in the body!

It’s not spoken of because the USFDA etc, is controlled by pharmaceutical lobbyists, but if I had cancer or HIV etc, the first thing I would take regularly, is colloidal silver.

However, one thing I didn’t like in the article was the sentence, “As an organization that recognizes we are a global spiritual community with a desire to help our little brothers and sisters, we created a Pure Water Project.” Specifically in that sentence, referring to people in developing nations as “little brothers and sisters” is something that really bothers me, thinking that the evolution community is above/better than individuals in developing nations. In the snippet of social justice theory I know, I recognize this phrasing as belittling oppressed people in developing nations and, while referring to them in a fond manner (as little brothers and sisters), the idea of persons in developing nations being ‘little’ (as opposed to the evolution community’s ‘big’) seems to come from the egoic consciousness that has to be bigger/better than others.

I would just strongly question the phrasing of this and urge you to perceive/present persons in developing nations as equal human beings in the future, because oftentimes media portrayls of the neediness of people in developing nations dehumanizes the realities of people in developing nations and get Westerners thinking their better than people in developing nations, which is dangerous to do if we actually want to help empower these individuals out of poverty and towards the equality of all human kind…part of the process is not only helping individuals (and especially women) in developing countries, but also perceiving them as equals and equally deserving of evolving to a higher consciousness. I feel the phrasing in this article does not acknowledge this sense of equality, but rather perpetuates a system of oppression. Thank you.

The straw is known to be very effective for an individual’s drinking water (Clever isn’t it? And fun—what kid doesn’t like to drink out of a straw?) You have a great suggestion. It would be a great product to offer along with colloidal silver which could purify containers of water so that mothers could clean their food before preparing it, cook with purified water, and use it to clean cuts and abrasions.
