Launched in 2006 by Australian-based organization New Earth Creations, PEACE in the WATER (www.peaceinthewater.com) is a consciously creative global initiative on behalf of Whales, Dolphins and our planet’s vital waterways.
Utilizing aspects of film, written/spoken word, music, visual/wearable art and community event/experience – the project has thus far drawn together people and creative expressions of peace from 80+ nations, with an aim of using creative mediums as a vehicle to raise awareness and consciousness regarding our deep interconnectedness with this living planet.
In line with the scientifically proven power of unified intention, the Peace in the Water project aims to bring together the most powerful creative tool available to humanity (OUR COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS and UNIFIED INTENT) with the most fluid carrier of energy (WATER) — to ignite a new global vision for PEACE in the WATER and across planet earth.
IT ONLY TAKES A FRACTION OF 1% OF A POPULATION TO TANGIBLY SHIFT THE ENERGY OF A WHOLE AREA…
What if… we could harness the energy of that fraction of 1% all around the world, and begin to consciously initiate change on planet earth — from the inside out? Peace in the Water co-founders Chip and Asheyana Richards (along with a rapidly growing “global POD”) believe that’s exactly why we’re here.
The month of June 2009 marks the fourth annual 33-day Peace in the Water vigil, and the launch of a incredible global sound event…the ONE SONG PROJECT(www.onesongproject.com) – on World Peace in the Water Day – June 21 (Solstice).
One Song Project
One Rhythm, One Family, One Earth… One Song.
June 21 at 3pm USA PDT (11pm GMT / 8am AUS NSW time June 22)
“Imagine the whole world singing the same song… At the same time… Together.”
Humpback Whales sing an ancient song that is deeply complex and poetic. It has been growing and evolving for millions of years. Scientists have studied this song, but one unexplained fact remains… Even though the song is constantly changing and the whales themselves are spread across thousands of miles, at any given moment, ALL of the Humpbacks of an entire region are SINGING THE SAME SONG.
This is the essence of the ONE SONG PROJECT…
To align our voice and visions across the globe…
TO RISE UP AS ONE FAMILY
and remember how powerful we are when we come together,in PEACE, for the greater good of all.
TO LEARN ONCE AGAIN TO SING THE SAME SONG.
SUNRISE, June 21, 2009 in the Eastern most point of Australia, a circle of rhythm-keepers will gather and begin a NEW SONG.
A song of peace and creation, sung into the waters and across our living Planet. This song will travel through time zones and different song circles around the globe over a 24-hour period, growing and evolving (as whale song has done for 50 million years!), culminating the following dawn as people all around the world stop what they are doing to come together and in one great harmony…
What better metaphor could their possibly be for our planet right now, than to join our voices in PEACE and sing the One Song together?
Please visit www.onesongproject.com to find out more, and join us on June 21 (3pm USA PDT /11pm GMT / 8am AUS NSW time June 22) as we come together in PEACE to Sing the ONE SONG.
The One Song Project is a co-creation between New Earth Creations (www.newearthcreations.com) and the T.O.N.E.
