I don’t like the song but I like the images of this video – all in melancholic purple, my favourite colour.

Melody Gardot is one of my favorite singers and musicians. Her story of how she began the music is what intrigued me and introduced me to her.

You can just get lost in those notes. Reminds me of a couple of ladies I knew in my life that always made me feel that I wanted to be as feminine as they when I grew up. Of course, I am still waiting for that, in my grey hair.

Beautiful! One of my favorite cds is by Cecelia. The name of the cd is Amazing Grace. My favorite songs are amazing grace and I believe. I first heard her on a program by Wayne Dyer. Her voice is amazing and often brings me to tears. Check her out, you wont be disapointed

I am always profoundly moved by music. I have noticed one interesting thing – the music does NOT have to be in english (my language) for me to be moved to tears. I seem to resonate to many different languages. I listen to all kinds. This song was wonderufl – one could feel the emotion – I would put her up with a song I hear recently by a singer named Adele. Lots of great emotions.

  13. Melody Gardot’s terrific. Also how about Katie Melua’s new album, Secret Symphony. My fav track is ‘Gold in Them Hills’ though it’s all excellent. Good words too. On YouTube here: http://youtu.be/YcHnAsjE0-k

  14. Nancy says:

Why would anyone listen to a song in which you can only understand 8% of the words?

“Bud it only tare”??????? etc. etc. etc. ……… ????? “Yure my on and onlllllllaaaaaay…. shueeeeee…” ?????

The background music is lovely……… take the singer and teach her to speak.

This is a link to Marston Smith performing Red Dunes.
He does a fantastic rendition of Greensleeves also.
As for my spine tingles, I was at a street performance
some 2 blocks away and this very music drew me to find
out who was the originator of such magnetic vibration.
Red Dunes is not massage room material.
Thank you so much for this dreamy composition that you
    have posted.

  17. Jim says:

Very beautiful, and much of it reminds me of Edith Piaf, “the little sparrow”, who I adore. The images are great as well. Like Elena, I am also moved by languages in a foreign tongue, because your conscious mind is “tripped” by not hearing words, and thus the passion of the music comes through (I am not sure what Nancy heard, but the emotion is definitely translated beautifully, even if the words did not have the diction clarity that Nancy desires). The Leonard Cohen, “Hallelujah” is one of my favorites (several versions), and I like being exposed to some of these lesser-known artists. Thanks for sharing this video!!

I liked the song and the singer who sang it. This song brought back
old memory’s of past singers in the Band Era.

Did not like the music or the video at all, waaay too melancholoy. I enjoy listening to music that is joyous and free. An album that fills the requisites that makes my spine tingle, fills my heart and gives me goosebumps is “The Best of Mozart, Volume 2,” Disc 1 (not so much Disc 2). When I listen to it all is well, life is beautiful, and I can fly!
For soothing, calming music I enjoy violin, my favorite artist at present is Drew Tretick.
