I must be honest -- before this song I can not I have ever “heard” Leonard Cohen sing before.
Something had me follow a link I found on twitter which led me to a blog which led to this song.
And I listened once and I wasn’t sure…
So I listened again
And once again -- wondering what it was that kept me entranced.
And I realized It was these words…
There is a Crack
A Crack in Everything
That’s How the Light Get’s In
For those of us not yet enlightened we come across dark days -- we all do whether we realize it or not.
And on those days it helps to remember -- that there is ALWAYS a crack…

Wow, even the voice starts to sound good. The words are something else, they really reach right inside of you. Powerful stuff or maybe just have to be in need of it at the time? Whichever, thanks for sharing it.
People haven’t heard of Leonard Cohen before? He is quite famous and primarily a poet. He’s written many books and recordings of music going back to the 50′s. Look him up!
I love his music for almost 30 years. He is great with words, and quite spiritual.
Cried all through this song. A wonderful reminder that “this too, will pass.”

I recently just discovered Leonard, last week. Imagine all the fun I am going to have, learning about this enigmatic character. Now I’m bumping into him all over the place.
He arrived delivered, to stay with us forever.
