This amazingly powerful and deeply transformative energy has always been reserved for “the few” “the chosen”. Yogi Bhajan, the fearless man who brought these Kundalini teachings west in 1969 took a huge risk because he saw a deep need. Until then they were sacred secret teachings that teachers would disperse in very guarded and miserly ways to protect them and the power they effected in the total human being.
Yogi Bhajan threw off the mantel of secrecy so these teachings could be available to everyone. Why? So you and all your environments could prosper from them. Total beings prosper. So you could be in control of your energy. So you could have the access to techniques that will alter your energy at will. These techniques will give you the capacity to transform. All transformation must start from the source, the source in us otherwise there is no baseline foundation.
We are our own eco systems. We are the most important part of the consciousness movement, of the environmental movement, of the social justice movement. Without us and our awareness none of them can or will exist. When you and you and you all know how to release, regulate, rejuvenate and rejoice in your own energy we will not only be more whole and connected we will be aware.
Awareness is one of the main gifts of this Kundalini energy. I could tell you that this energy is coiled energy that resides at the base of your spine and when awakened it rises and with it your consciousness rises but what I would rather do is give you ways you could experience this yourself. Beliefs are a dime a dozen. They come, they go, a good one replaced by a perceived better one. An experience now that is something you have laid claim to because your entire being got it. It belongs to you because it is now a part of you.
Right now this planet it is like a sleeping giant awakening. With that awakening we all feel the time factor pressure. The pressure to be doing more, contributing more, working more, earning more, being more present, this pressure creates an override on our sensory system. We override the impulses that tell us when and what our system needs to eat, drink, breath, and move and relax. Our resonant systems are not resonating loudly enough for us to pay attention.
The Kundalini energy when engaged allows us to reconnect back to these basic sonar skills necessary to truly live in this world today. They are the basic tool kit of thrive to survive skills. Skills that will take us into the power of ourselves and the share this power with others.
The power of our focus is our God. Yes think about what you put your focus on. What occupies most of your waking consciousness and that is your God. Are you happy with your current rendition of God = The Generating, Organizing and Destroying power of the universe. If yes go to another chapter if not totally carry on and utilize some of these techniques I am going to share with you. I will warn you that they will require you to change your habits. This sounds so simple. We all know that habits deeply own us we do not own them. So are you ready to be courageous? Kundalini energy will change your habits if you are willing to do them.
There is an old saying….
show up, do the work and don’t be attached to the results.
Till you show up nothing happens. When you do, doing the work is the most challenging, when you engage in not being attached to the results it is truly liberating. This is the necessary ingredients to breaking any habit that does not serve you. Kundalini energy speeds up the process because you will be rewarded with instant energetic shifts. It is fast. It is powerful. But….. you need to do them to have the results you can’t just know about them or look at them. Then the results will vary. You can’t have gone without sleep for nites or had 3 cups of coffee and wonder why they are not working for you. These are not cure alls. To get the deep effects they do require you to become conscious of what you do to support yourself and what you do to take you down.
I am going to ask you a couple of questions and be truthful with yourself because there is no one else around yet in our connected state we all know. These are self awareness questions…
Are you taking the quick fixes to solve your energy losses? Ie. Sugar, caffeine?
How often do you actually remember to breath consciously during the day?
What do you do when you are feeling stressed? Low energy?
Do you sit at your desk for hours when it has been proven that 21/2 hours is the maximum time we are truly effective without taking a break?
How do you take breaks during the day?
What relaxes you? Do you let yourself do those things?
I could do an entire chapter on just questions but I want to give you the gift of Kundalini as it has been given to me. These techniques will make you brighter on all levels because they turn your switch back on. Your energy starts circulating powerfully. I could talk to you all day or I could do what I have come to feel is the essence of the Kundalini, give you an experience of what is available to you, now in this moment. If you read them they will be interesting but only in the doing of them will you have the experience. So I ask that you do them. Do them for at least the minimum but really go for maximum time.

Claw Dance: For making you more charismatic and energetic
Make tight claws out of the hands; inhale through the mouth with the lips puckered, and saying “Who”, come up on your toes swinging the arms out to the sides in a big arc up and over your head.. As you say “La,” squat down, allowing the arms to swing in a big arc downward. This can also be done sitting at your desk.
Gift: This clears difficult situations – feeling out of your immediate energy field. Increases your energy, and expands your awareness.
Continue this motion for 60-180 Seconds.
Take a break after this and just feel your energy for a moment. How do you feel? Are you breathing? Do you feel your entire being more connected? Then use it before you go to work or at the end of the day to clear your magnetic field or during the day to recharge you.
Standing brain exercise: To revitalize your brain
Standing, open your legs wide bend over and place your fingertips on the floor a shoulder width apart. The stiffer you feel, the wider you should spread your legs. Bend the knees if necessary. On the inhalation, lift the trunk of the body and head parallel to the floor. Exhale in three-parts lower your head and trunk towards the floor in three equal parts.
Gift: In very technical terms, this washes out your brain. It moves the cerebral spinal fluid up and down the spine and through the brain. It allows your legs and spine to stretch and the breath allows overwhelm to be released.
Here is a variation you can do right at your desk
Desk Bowing: Clears head and activates glands
Place fingertips on desk and begin bowing the head up and down quickly by bending the elbows. Close eyes and do not bang head.
Gift: Instant head clearing without leaving your desk.
Time: 30-90 seconds
