A lot of excellent comments ,strange that I disgree with none of them.
I need to be motivated by one who has commented (who then did read the book) before I go ahead and spend hard earned money on this product.I just find the radical claim of "infalliable reading lies power" stated by the publisher of this e book , a little to close to a lie in that claim itself !
I really would like to be more discerning & would love to be able to control my "body language" so I do not leave myself wide open in negotiation circumstances ...nice forum..common Who read IT ???

I agree with Salah regarding the previous intelligent responses on the claims of this book. The claims of the book is blatant false hope that many of us have, to have a stratagy or information to cure our insecurities.

The ebook title claims and the intelligent responses above remind me of a famous Russian saying -- "Trust yes, no harm to verify"

For the price of the book, when you try it out, that also is an experience. It can be very similar to learning if a person is trust worthy. The steps involve starting with an open mind and draw your inferences after the experience which is much more valuable for future relationships.

Trust, intent and action are necessary for gaining experience and to evaluate it for future actions.

I could get interested in a book which simply claims to help you tell whether someone is lying. What I cannot accept are exaggerations such as this:

"..you can instantly know when someone is telling you a lie… whether it’s in a business setting or a personal one… whether you’ve just met the person or have known him (or her) all your life."

This suggests that it's possible to gain infallible powers so that no one can ever tell a lie without your knowing it. That's absurd. It goes against documented scientific evidence, to say nothing of common sense. Claims of certainty and infallibility are always suspect.

Someone once said to me that most people are lying to themselves most of the time. I was so naive back then I thought he was crazy. And then I started really digging in to some of my own healing work. Guess what I discovered?

I was lying to myself (hiding from myself) a lot of the time. I wasn't healing because I was trying to convince myself rather than be with myself in true, deep honesty.

So now I listen for my deeper truths. And I've learned to listen to the deeper truths in others. If I sense someone is lying to me, they are probably hiding from themselves. If I'm willing and they are willing, I can hold space for the greater, deeper truths to emerge.

From that place of connection, we'll both feel safer. Hiding from ourselves and others doesn't make us bad. It makes us feel unsafe to ourselves and others.

Recognizing the truth within ourselves and others doesn't necessarily mean we are operating from fear. Recognizing truth can be a path to freedom.

What are people doing when they are telling you something that maybe untrue? They may be telling you something they think is true but isn't completely true. They may be trying to cover their embarrassment at not knowing the complete truth. There may be any number of reasons for them not telling you the truth. It is possible to deduce why you feel you are not being told the truth depending on how well you know the person. I agree that first of all you need to be able to have a feeling for whether or not the truth is being told, but beyond that there are many ways to go in the pursuit of truth and the ways that are taken depend on how important it is to discover the truth. Obviously if you need to take a decision based on some information you are being given and that decision is an important one that may have implications for any number of people and for a number of years, then you are going to want to discover many things about the person giving you the information so that you will know as much as you need to know to help you take that decision.
I would use skills such as body language knowledge to help me to decipher firstly whether or not I am being told the truth in a subjective way.

I've been reading this "detecting lies through facial twitches and body language" stuff for over twenty years. Sorry, but I don't buy any of it. It's merely looking for signs of stress. People can be under stress when they are telling the truth, too.
