Legendary British film director Sir Ridley Scott launched a global film making contest for aspiring directors. It’s titled “Tell It Your Way”. There were over 600 entries. The film could be no longer than three minutes, contain only six lines of narrative and be a compelling story. The winner was “Porcelain Unicorn” from American director Keegan Wilcox. It’s a story of the lifetimes of two people who are totally opposite, yet, very much the same—all told in less than three minutes.

Pollination: it’s vital to life on Earth, but largely unseen by the human eye. Filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg shows us the intricate world of pollen and pollinators with gorgeous high-speed images from his film “Wings of Life,” inspired by the vanishing of one of nature’s primary pollinators, the honeybee.

The visuals in this 4 minute clip are literally breath taking and -- for me at least -- have me sitting back in awe of  the miracle and beauty of this planet we live in.  Please take these 4 minutes to take in the dance being displayed -- and then come back and let us know of your experience.

Neuroscientist Daniel Wolpert starts from a surprising premise: the brain evolved, not to think or feel, but to control movement. In this entertaining, data-rich talk he gives us a glimpse into how the brain creates the grace and agility of human motion.

This video is more technical then what we usually post -- and deals with an idea we haven’t “thought of” before and I at least am finding it fascinating…

If the brain did not evolve to think or feel does that mean it’s not good at it?

During meditation/contemplation I have been watching my thoughts of late -- “trying” to find out where they come from -- and so far -- haven’t been able to pinpoint their source but I can say that I haven’t found them in the brain.

Same with emotion -- I can feel strong emotion in my heart and my gut -- but my brain?  Normally it just gets foggy -- which I suppose supports Daniel’s basic premise.

Over the course of the last few weeks I have been running an experiment that I am getting ready to tell you all about (just a little more work first).  I can tell you that it has to do with water -- our intentions -- and opening up to an infinite world of possibilities.

I am now a true Will Smith fan.  I am really excited about his message -- and thrilled and motivated by the passion apparent each time he speaks in this video.

My favorite part?  Well, I think I have two.  I love how his father made him and his brother build a wall -- and what he learned from it.

I am looking forward to reading your reactions to spending a few minutes with Richard Moss in this video.  For me, whenever I hear him speak, I feel a space open up inside me and I get closer (even if only for a moment) to a place of stillness.

I have never met the man, but I like him

and I like his teachings -- the concept is so simple (if not easy to implement) -- just keep bringing yourself back to the center -- to now….
