…or just bringing your old stuff to the surface?

An ordinary explosion creates a sheer energetic force of chaotic power. The shock wave from an explosion can overwhelm the senses because the body and aura become temporarily disoriented. We now have explosively shocking phenomena in our solar system, called solar flares, and they seem to be increasing in frequency and intensity lately. The media says that the flares can affect satellites and other electrical systems. True, but what about the effect upon the living bio-electricity of your own body? In what ways are you like a satellite? And could the solar flares affect your mind, or even your soul?

Our sun’s flares are activated by intensity originating from the center of our galaxy, at the galactic core. It’s not something you think about generally, what with all the details of daily life, but we’re becoming galactic citizens whether we realize it or not. Though our sun and our little solar system is at the edge of the Milky Way galaxy, our sun is receiving activation from the galactic core. And when you understand what is happening to our world, and know how to flow along with it, you will understand what is happening to you physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

When I tune into the consciousness of the sun, I sense that it is a vast, living being. It has a soul, and like all living beings, it gets its primary energy from the universe itself, and especially from the galactic core. And you can learn something from this, because the sun is teaching you how to connect directly with the universe, as if you were  plugging into an electrical socket. But if you were just receiving fresh life energy from these solar flares, that would be easy. There is much more to these cosmic events, however…

The solar flares are transmitting a vibrantly activating higher consciousness directly from the galactic core, in the form of living plasma energy. Plasma is mysterious stuff, and it has been called the fourth state of matter — the first three being solid, liquid, and gas. So plasma is not solid, liquid, or gas, and yet it may appear to mimic these at times. Now this plasma is fascinating because when you tune into it, it communicates with you on many levels, as if it were alive. Which it evidently is, as there is consciousness within everything in the universe — but the intelligence of plasma is a higher level of consciousness, with special qualities…

Plasma is super-alive, or perhaps super-conscious, I’ll call it, because it is capable of activating your consciousness in ways that may transcend the benefits that the solid, liquid, and gas can offer you. If you’ve spent any time with quartz crystals, and if you experienced their amazing abilities to activate your cosmic awareness, you know that crystals are definitely conscious. So multiply that, and you get a sense of how plasma can awaken your inner spiritual capacities. The sun is activated by the deep plasma life intelligence at the galactic core, and so the sun is releasing vast amounts of spiritually activating plasma into this solar system, which is having a catalyzing effect upon you.

The plasma being activated by our sun is awakening your own plasma within you, and this is changing consciousness whether people are ready for it or not. This is because plasma is one of the essential forms that your living soul has within your body. When you let yourself feel into it, you can sense how plasma may well be the life-energy body of your soul. Plasma is a flowing, vibrating, living substance, and the stronger recent solar flares are vibrating your soul body into a new level of presence and functioning. And this can feel overwhelming, because you have been acclimated to a lower level of spiritual aliveness.

The emerging super-capacities in humanity will come from their activated plasma soul-bodies. And if it were that simple, then we would all turn into super beings, and that would be that. However the challenge is that at every level of your being, your ego is rigidified into patterns, and these patterns are not ready for your emerging spiritual power. In fact, unless you understand what is happening, you might assume that your body and mind are going backwards in their development, and that’s not the case at all…

When your spiritual plasma bodies activate, the vibrations shake the old patterns to the surface, and that can mean that toxins come to the surface. It can also mean that old disease patterns can surface, and this can be uncomfortable. Your practical response to surfacing toxins is to clear them out. This is important even if your lifestyle is seemingly healthy. The solar energy activations are bringing up patterns that could come from childhood diseases, family patterns, and past life patterns. So clearing toxins, releasing patterns, and embracing your spiritual awakening are keys to flowing with the changes as pleasantly as possible.

Your emotional body is also being activated by the solar flares, and as with the physical body, emotional patterns are surfacing. Many people are finding old patterns that they thought they had already released making their moody presence known. If you judge it or deny it, that won’t make the old patterns go away, no matter how much you wish it would. As your plasma bodies activate, they shake the old patterns loose, just like a dog shaking water off its fur. But typically, the old patterns don’t fling out of your reality quite so easily. So you’ll be spending time experiencing these old emotions, and you’ll have a choice to make…

Do you judge and deny the surfacing emotions, or do you befriend them, so that you can help them? Befriending them doesn’t mean submitting to them or agreeing with them. You listen to them, so that the surfacing emotions know that you accept them. This makes it easier to educate them, and to gently release them. When you learn to do this layer-by-layer, you can heal your patterns more easily, because the layer-by-layer approach lets you move through the patterns gently, yet deliberately.

Your awakening soul energy is igniting the living cosmic plasma in your mental body, and this is bringing provoking thoughts to the surface. Old limiting perceptions and beliefs are up for review, and they have a characteristic tight and limiting quality to them. This distinguishes the old thoughts from the new, expansive and liberating thoughts that are attempting to emerge within your mental body. The contrast is stronger than ever, and it can be rather crazy-making to feel simultaneously that anything is possible, while also experiencing limiting childlike fears that seem to hold the olden resonance of humanity’s accumulated fears.

As your plasma bodies awaken, they want to express their infinite nature. And they are trying to vibrate at the higher radiant level, but it might not feel wonderful to you just yet, because your rigidified patterns in your personality and ego are still resisting. And when you are only noticing the old patterns uncomfortably surfacing, you find yourself wondering when the challenges will end, and when the smoother good times will finally arrive. Here are some essential realizations that will serve you well during your spiritual awakening…

You don’t have to wait until all your limiting patterns are released in order to feel the good aspects of your spiritual awakening. Just knowing that you can tap into the good vibrations now gives you the hint that you can access some enlivening spiritual realities in any given moment. If it is that simple, what exactly can you do to touch that potential? Since you are exploring the sun at the moment, just let yourself imagine this: Tune into the sun, and in your mind, go beneath the surface, and tune into its center point. Sense the sun as a living energy that you can talk with and share energy with.

Are you ready to acknowledge that whatever that vast cosmic energy within the sun is, you yourself have something very much like it within your own self? It’s simple to do, but challenging for some to consider, because it helps you move beyond centuries of limited concepts. Not that recognizing your galactic essence is bad or scary — quite the opposite — it is a joyous recognition of your divine nature. But to the extent that your little ego feels unready, this cosmic recognition could be overwhelming for some people.

And so, recognizing your cosmic nature is up to you. And if you sense that you’re probably ready, then you probably are. And if it seems like it would be too much, then relax and wait until you feel ready. So what is within the sun? First of all, you have been educated to perceive the sun as a ball of fiery gas. Whatever scientists will eventually prove the sun to be remains to be seen. So be clear that the essence you are tuning into right now is the energetic quality, or the soul of the sun. And when you tune into that divine solar essence, you discover an energy — a living plasma energy of pure universal spirit. And, if you allow yourself to, you can start to notice a similar energy within yourself.

So the solar flares are jump-starting your own internal cosmic engine, so that you can truly sense your cosmic nature. When you recognize the connection, as a real, felt sense within you, you will no longer think of yourself as a material being with an external soul. You will come to know that all your bodies, from the physical body to the soul body, are all expressions of your one integrated self, and that they express the living spark that is your divine, or higher self. And when you let the sun, and ultimately the galactic core, energetically inform your own self of your essential cosmic nature, you will be learning from the living teacher that is within you, and that lives all around you — your solar system, your galaxy, and ultimately the universe itself.

This frees you from the idea that this physical universe is separate from the world of spirit, or consciousness. That division was promoted for years by particular branches of science, organized religion, and the mass media, and it served their purpose of dividing and conquering humanity. When you define yourself as being a divided person, in a divided universe, you are easily manipulated. By contrast, when you acknowledge the spiritual activation taking place with the help of the solar flares, and you own your unified living consciousness, you accept that you are one unified being, integrated with one unified universe. This lets you know yourself and your universe with a new level of empowerment, as exemplified by the film, Thrive, which presents the possibilities that life on the planet can be much more empowering and enlivening than many had supposed was possible.

The emerging energy within you is dynamically alive. It is not a static pretty picture, like a Hallmark card of spiritual niceness. It is much more amazing than that, because, being dynamic, it is a thinking, breathing, vibrating reality that is ever creating — it is your multidimensional self. And so, the idea that you would just quietly become enlightened and float away in a cloud of bliss is unrealistic. Your dynamic emerging consciousness doesn’t want to deny the world, although as you become more conscious, your thoughts may seek to move beyond limiting energies and away from unhealthy situations. But this doesn’t mean that you are denying the world — very much the opposite — you are releasing from limited patterns so that you can bring your creative powers to the world in even more effective ways.

This is very much what happened to me when I shifted from doing private sessions. There was a new level of possibilities to shift into, and though my ego had resisted such a shift for years, my higher self reveled in the exciting possibilities of sharing an entire lifetime’s worth of cosmic teachings with a broader audience. The awakenings are not always easy, and for most they present challenges. But understanding what is happening is key to navigating through the challenges as they surface, because the deeper meaning of all these changes is that you are looking for a deeper truth, and it is emerging within you and your life. The spiritual activation you’ve been awaiting for centuries is being brought directly to you, through the catalyzing influence of the solar flares, so that you can experience the shifts within the living landscape of your own body and soul.

From now on, when you hear about solar flares, you will have the understanding to picture it in a new empowering way. You will be able to feel into what the sun, and the solar flares are sharing with your body and soul. The emerging feelings and thoughts will be seen for what they are — shifting energies amidst a transformational process. You may have to confront some heavy old patterns, and you may feel at times that you have lost your way. But the activated energies in your emerging plasma bodies hold the wondrous potential that you have been seeking, if you let yourself learn from them.

What you had wanted from spiritual masters, from experts and authorities, and from the universe itself – those spiritual gifts that you had hoped for — are now emerging within you. Breathe into your awakening vibrations within, and feel the dynamism. This is really happening, and you can choose to benefit from it. You are really being awakened at every level.

Feel into this vibrant truth that is living within the sun, within the galactic core, and within you. Let yourself smile as you look back with understanding at your long history of spiritual studies through the centuries. Feel into the depth of your cosmic consciousness within, and recognize that you, in this moment, are the multidimensional being that you have been waiting for — that splendid divine being who is here to bring your unique gifts into your own life, and into the lives of humanity.

When I got to the hospital that Wednesday morning 4/2/97 I saw that my hospital gown had little birds printed all over it. Synchronicity! I took this to be a very good omen. I mean of all the possible designs that could have been on that gown!

Friends from the bird center had come with me that morning. They all also agreed that the hospital gown fabric was a good omen. But what else would they say to a friend about to have her head drilled open while a stranger played laser tag in her brain!

We then all hugged and said our good-byes as I headed in to get my anesthesia, still completely calm and accepting of the fact that I may be “going home”.

I just remember telling the anesthesiologist that if it looked like I wouldn’t have use of my legs to just crank up the anesthesia because, if I couldn’t ever dance again, I didn’t want this life.

Yes, I’m also a dancer. I have been a Middle Eastern dancer since I was a teenager and was a member of a dance troupe that performed regularly at nursing homes, street fairs and mid-east dance shows.

After my surgery I woke up in ICU. I remember a nurse named Susan and the anesthesiologist squeezing my toes and fingers asking me to blink if I could feel them pinching me. I could and then I quickly seemed to just drift off to sleep again just after hearing the anesthesiologist saying “Whew, I thought we lost her for a moment there”.

The next night I woke up in my own room. I had no idea what time it was. It was still dark, but the door to my room was open and light from the hallway was shining in.

I could feel intense pain. It felt as if my head was going to explode. There was so much pressure in it. I also noticed that I couldn’t move my head without excruciating pain in my neck and head. There was something holding my left eyelid shut, or trying to, though the lid was popping open. It was a piece of tape, which was now irritating the hell out of my eye.

I felt so incredibly weak. My entire face was in pain. I went into a state of panic. My heart began racing as if it was going to jump right out of my chest. I felt sad and disappointed that I hadn’t “gone home”.

Suddenly a female figure, floated from out of the wall in front of me. She became larger and larger as she neared the foot of my bed. She was floating, dressed in a white gown with a light blue robe, and surrounded by a soft golden light. The instant I saw her all my pains and discomforts disappeared.

I remember seeing her “foot forms” hanging out beneath her gown. They were where you would expect to see feet and that shape (no toes or details though), but they were obviously not skin. They were white light. That’s the best description I can find to describe her, although it wasn’t like any kind of light I had ever seen before. I could only see her from the waist down since I couldn’t lift my head or move my eye with the tape on it.

The feeling that overcame me was completely indescribable; total peace, comfort, joy, unconditional love, warmth, ecstasy. I just don’t believe there are words that can describe the feeling she brought with her.

Through all of this I never, ever, thought to question this Being as to who she was. I only know that I was so completely overcome and overwhelmed with the most amazingly loved feeling that I had ever had. She was obviously a Heavenly presence.

She did have something to say to me. It was just as I was wondering why I hadn’t been allowed to “go home”. She said, “You’ll have to take care of your mother”. I thought to myself, “My mother? My dad has a serious heart condition; I just had brain surgery, what the hell’s going to happen to my mom now?”  Then this Being repeated her message only much louder and sterner as if yelling it at me “You’ll have to take care of your mother!”

I guess because of that euphoric state I was in, I just thought, “ok”, and never felt scared by her stern warning or even thought to ask how I was going to do this, or if by mother did she mean Mother Earth? This for whatever reason popped into my head.

She then started fading away, getting smaller and smaller as if floating back into the wall. I wanted so badly to go with her. Why did I have to stay behind?

Note: This message deals with the KA body (a term from ancient Egyptian Alchemy), and discusses how you can utilize this unique energy-body to draw to yourself ascension-energies from increased solar activity. For those unfamiliar with the KA—your KA body is an “invisible” second body that is the same shape and size as your physical body. This energy body both envelops the physical body and interpenetrates it. This body is sometimes referred to as the etheric double or spiritual twin. The KA shares similarities with what is called the Chi body in some traditions (Taoism) and with the pranic body or etheric body in certain yogic traditions. By its nature, the KA can draw to itself and then into the physical body, highly benevolent energies that accelerate one’s spiritual evolution.

As we indicated in an earlier message on January 3, 2011, you have been entering a period of increased solar activity for some time. We strongly urge that you read that message, Partaking From the Solar Winds, in order to understand the deeper levels of what we will be discussing.

You are now entering a more heightened period of solar and galactic activity in which the magnetosphere of your Earth is being struck by erratic and increasingly strong streams of solar energy.

You will be seeing an ever-increasing number of solar flares and fluctuations that are highly unusual. These fluctuations in the sun are being driven by internal forces, as well as by streams of energy from the central sun of your galaxy. Adding to this complexity of interactions are high intensity streams of energy from deep space. The magnetic field of your sun is being affected, and in point of fact, it is being twisted, contorted, and all of this is having an effect upon the magnetic field of your Earth and the magnetic fields of your bodies. With increased solar activity of this type, you will see an ever-increasing intensity of weather anomalies, as well as increased earthquake and volcanic activity.

The focus of our message here is not on the physical aspects but the emotional and spiritual aspects of this solar activity. As we said in our message, Partaking From the Solar Winds, these types of solar fluctuations increase emotional volatility and irrational behavior. Many of you are, no doubt, finding yourselves irritable for no particular reason. Sleep disturbances are also a common aspect of this change in solar activity.

As you enter this heightened solar storm phase we have two suggestions that will allow you to navigate through these increased levels of energy. The first is the simplest and is thoroughly discussed in our message, Partaking From the Solar Winds, so we will not discuss it here. A second method allows you to soothe your physical body through the water element. We are referring here to another previous message, called Medicines of Light. In this method you charge water with intentionality from your BA or Celestial Soul. The original message dealt with protecting yourself from viruses, bacteria, and radioactivity. We would refer you to that message so you understand the method clearly.

In this use of the Medicine of Light, you will charge the water with the intention of soothing your physical body, so that it is able to adjust to the erratic nature of the solar energies more efficiently and with greater grace. An ideal time to create this type of Medicine of Light is just before going to sleep. Then the Medicine of Light, through the water element, will communicate with the intracellular and intercellular fluids of your body, which will impart a calming and balancing effect.

Introducing this Medicine of Light before your rest cycle will have a very beneficial affect upon you while resting and during the next cycle of activity. We are saying “rest cycle” rather than sleep because for many of you, sleep is a highly questionable activity, as it is increasingly disturbed or disrupted. We suggest during these resting cycles you let go of your attachment to sleep as you have known it. As you become more at peace with the situation, you will find that you can regenerate yourself in shorter periods of deep relaxation.

When you awaken at night, or whenever you are resting, we suggest you use the method we suggested in Partaking from the Solar Winds to charge your KA body. Since you are awake you might as well take this opportunity to charge your KA.

As you work with this you will find that you can regenerate and re-energize yourself in shorter periods of time than you have been able to in the past.

There is a third method we would like to offer those of you who have an advanced understanding of your KA.

Micro-Wormholes

Your KA body interpenetrates your physical body and is the same shape and size as your physical form. There is no part of your physical body that is outside of your KA, and by its very nature when you charge your KA body with energy, the overflow of excess energy goes into the organs of your physical body, which increases your health and vitality.

Your KA body is composed of innumerable particles of etheric light, and within this body of light there are nexus points. These nexus points within your KA link to the mitochondria of your cells. Mitochondria are the energy producers, the power plants of your cells. There are varying numbers of mitochondria depending on the type of cell, and these organelles appear in the cytoplasm outside the cell nucleus. The only cells that do not have a nucleus are your red blood cells.

It is possible to bring your awareness into this level of your body so that you are aware of your mitochondria and can sense the wormholes into your KA. These wormholes are intracellular portals into the higher vibratory nature and reality of your KA. By opening these portals through intention you can greatly affect the flow of excess energy from your KA into your physical body.

This allows your physical body to more easily attune itself to the more rapid vibratory reality of your KA. It is through your KA that you ascend into higher vibratory realities. Through the portals of your mitochondria you can assist your physical body to adapt more easily to this rapid acceleration.

We now wish to turn our attention to the emotional quandary of your situation. By its very nature, both the acceleration of time and the increase of vibratory realities purge your unconscious mind.

As we said previously, you will note a general increase in emotional volatility and impulsive irrational behavior. If you are not experiencing these effects yourself, you have, no doubt, noted this occurring among your fellow humans.

You are living in a paradoxical duality. As the old energetic realities fall apart, new energetic realities are being birthed. But it is human nature for people to be attached to the way things used to be, to the ways they expect. Yet much of the way things have been is coming to an end. The world as you have known it, is ending. And a new world is being birthed.

The Quandary of the Human Heart

One of the greatest casualties in this process is the human heart. We recognize and sense a deep sadness and despair in the collective human heart. Part of this is due to the disintegration of realities and your attachments to them. After all, what do you build your dreams on when the foundations of your world are crumbling?

Another aspect of this difficulty in the heart has to do with the toxic nature of your planet’s emotional atmosphere. As the solar energies increase, the tensions between polarities become ever more apparent. The polarization of human consciousness between those who would imprison and those who would free the human spirit are becoming clearer and clearer.

We would offer two suggestions as a means to deal with these challenges to your heart.

It is through your heart that new realities are birthed—by this, we mean realities worth living. Our first suggestion may seem overly simplistic, and yet as is often the case, the simplest things are frequently the most powerful. However you do this is not important. What is important is that you create an emotional antidote in yourself to the toxic poisoning of your planet’s emotional atmosphere.

As hatred and intolerance increase, you must find a passage through this darkness. The simplest and most efficient way we know is for you to find the smallest things in your life that you appreciate, and to take a few moments to dwell on these feelings of appreciation throughout your day. It does not matter how small these feelings of appreciation may be. From the tiniest seeds of appreciation great things can arise. The vibratory state of appreciation, or gratitude, is an extraordinary antidote to emotional poisoning. We strongly suggest you cultivate this ally as you move through this next cycle of solar storms.

Finally, we are offering a sound meditation based on the heart chakra. This is from a previous Hathor Intensive. The first phase of this sound meditation rotates and activates energies within the heart chakra for the purpose of clearing. The second phase of the meditation is calming and nurturing. We believe you will find this sound meditation to be another helpful ally.

As you enter this new phase of solar storms understand that they are extraordinary opportunities for evolutionary advancement. They are also, paradoxically, fraught with dangers for devolution due to their intense nature. If you resist the energies of acceleration, you will experience great difficulties in this passage. If you embrace these energies and master them—finding a way to navigate through them with appreciation and a good dose of humor—you will find greater freedom. This freedom of which we speak is a freedom of the human spirit, mind and heart. It resides in a level of consciousness untouched by the dualities of your earthly existence.

Tom’s Thoughts and Observations

First of all, I would like to acknowledge that there has been quite a bit of time between the last two Hathor messages. Whenever I went to them and inquired about the lack of a new message they said that they had already communicated everything that needed to be said up to that point. And when the time was ready—meaning poised for another shift—they would give a new message.

The fact that they have come forward with a new message at this time indicates to me that the proverbial shit is getting ready to hit the fan—yet again.

Medicines of Light

I have found their method for creating Medicines of Light to calm and balance the physical body during sleep, or as they call it, sleep cycles, to be quite helpful. And the more I create these Medicines for myself, the better I get at it. I suspect the same will be true for many of us. The method is definitely worth the effort, and if I am reading the Hathors’ tone correctly, this Medicine of Light will become increasingly important as we enter more deeply into this next phase of the solar storms.

Micro-Wormholes

I was quite intrigued by their comments about the existence of micro-wormholes between the mitochondria of our cells and the nexus points of light in our KAs. I asked them about this after the channeling session, and they said that this was a very complex and rich field of information, which they planned to discuss in future messages.

I, however, wanted more information about this sooner than later and suspected that many readers would want the same. When pressed, my mentors said that these micro-wormholes are bridges between dimensions of vibration, meaning between the density of matter (our bodies) and the less-dense light realms of our KAs.

The Hathors experience all dimensions as one continuum. In other words, the lower vibratory realities of our physical bodies are intimately connected to the higher vibratory realities of our consciousness. The demarcations between matter and consciousness are largely a self-limiting concept according to them. By working with our own mitochondrial micro-wormholes, we can more consciously bridge dimensions as they express themselves in our bodies.

Finally, according to the Hathors, holding an awareness of these mitochondrial wormholes while residing in a state of appreciation or gratitude will greatly amplify their energetic effects.

The Quandary of the Heart

I often find myself in the midst of many conflicting emotional states during the course of a day, or even in the passing of an hour…sometimes within minutes to be honest.

One minute I can be surfing the waves of cosmic energy with a detached amusement and at times, even bliss. The next moment I can be falling head over heals into the “waves” of self-created emotional turmoil.

I have noticed that my emotional “wipeouts” occur when I have lost my center, and it has become crystal clear to me that it is not so much what happens around me as it is my reaction to what I “think” is happening that determines my emotional state.

The point that the Hathors make regarding the increasingly toxic nature of our planetary emotional atmosphere is right on in my opinion. Their simple recommendation for cultivating an emotional antidote to this collective toxicity by taking time to appreciate the small things in life is disarmingly effective. I have tested this suggestion on numerous occasions, and I can honestly say that it works exceedingly well.

The Heart Chakra Sound Meditation

The heart chakra sound meditation that they refer to is posted in the Sound Gifts section of the website (www.tomkenyon.com).

The meditation the Hathors refer to in this message is titled Heart Chakra Sound Meditation: A Shamanic Hathor Sound Exploration. There are some listening suggestions in the main body of the text, and at the end of that copy there is a link to the audio file, which you can listen to and/or download.

For those of you who have been following the Hathor Planetary Messages for some time, this sound meditation is energetically quite different from the Heart Dimensional Attunement, which they gave in a previous message (see Sound Gifts). That Heart Attunement was created to “attune” the Heart to future possibilities and timelines.

However, this particular Heart Chakra Sound Meditation was created to bring into conscious awareness patterns of emotional response that you hold within your own heart. From this perspective, emotional freedom arises out of clarity, not denial. Thus the first part of this sound meditation is quite catalytic in that it vibrates and rotates locked energy patterns within your heart chakra. For some people this phase can be a little like breaking through armament while for others it can be a fairly gentle process of letting go. The last phase of the sound meditation imparts calming, healing and restorative energies to the newly cleansed heart. I personally find this sound meditation to be a helpful ally, and I listen to it on a somewhat regular basis especially when I feel emotionally overwhelmed or blocked.

If you have the time and the inclination to explore your heart chakra more deeply, you might experiment with listening to this sound meditation two or three times in the same listening session. I have personally found that listening to it a second or third time in succession often reveals deeper levels of insight and, at times, deeper levels of healing as well.

According to my Hathor mentors, it is not generally a good idea to listen to the two meditations (the Heart Chakra Sound Meditation and the Heart Dimensional Attunement) in back-to-back listening sessions unless you are prepared to deal with major emotional and energetic phenomena.

A Rare Appearance on the East Coast

I rarely appear on the East Coast of the US, but on July 7^th I will be in Manhattan (N.Y.) at the Peter Norton Symphony Space doing a one-day Sound Intensive called Ascent. I believe this will be a particularly profound transformational experience due to the fact that I will be using a great deal of catalytic sound as a means to enter into the subtle energetic worlds of our chakras for the purpose of healing and releasing untapped potentials.

I feel particularly drawn to bring this specific workshop to your attention, because I will be presenting new material regarding the chakras and their relationship to both the djed of classic Egyptian alchemy (sometimes called the sacred pathway of the chakras) and the sushumna or pathway of kundalini shakti.

The ascent of life-force (sekhem) up the djed or the ascent of kundalini up the sushumna transforms consciousness and opens the doors of perception to realms of consciousness unbounded by time, place and circumstance. This transcendent space is a potent reservoir of healing and deep insight that can only be accessed through non-ordinary states of consciousness.

In the course of this workshop, I will show you how to enter this deeply transformative realm of consciousness even if you have never meditated or have no background in either yoga or alchemy. This is because we will be entering these non-ordinary states of consciousness primarily through the agency of celestial sound, which is a type of toning whereby I vocalize (in audible tones) the ineffable sounds of the celestial words.

For me, personally, this particular event will be highly significant, because in terms of my teaching it is a marked Turning of the Wheel, meaning that I will be publically presenting, for the very first time, a new level of understanding in regard to the primal forces called sekhem (or life force) and kundalini shakti (the primal spring of transcendent consciousness).

Specifically, I will be presenting a different philosophical view as well as practical methods beyond the traditional path and ways we have inherited from various spiritual traditions.

If I were asked to describe this understanding in a nutshell, I would say that it is a shift from the patriarchal way of working with our chakras to a feminine-based way of working.

In this approach we do not force our internal energies to conform to our personal will, but rather we pay homage to a feminine archetype I simply call the Unseen Healing Goddess Within. Through this honoring and recognition of our own innate feminine potency and primal intelligence, we allow Her to rise upward, making the Great Ascent through our own chakras. It is through this inner journey of personal liberation that She imparts the nectar and gift of renewed life.

It is my observation that in the course of spiritual and transformational teachings, the Turning of the Wheel is always a potently charged spiritual event. To be physically present when the Wheel is turned is a rare boon to personal transformation. If you can possibly attend this event, I do believe you will be deeply touched and transformed.

I am sure that most people have seen demonstrations of “spoon bending” and other such “psychic phenomena” and wished they could do it themselves.

Well there is good news!  The truth is we are unrestricted, unrestrained and unlimited Beings of the Universe.  The only restrictions we experience are those we place upon ourselves.  Specifically, the only restriction anyone has is restrictive thinking; absolutely everything begins and ends with thought.

So if we believe that levitating a car for example is just not possible; then that will be the reality; it will not be possible.  Even the Christian Bible states:

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. – Mathew 17:20″

And whatever one believes of the the bible, this statement is absolutely true.

Here of course Jesus is speaking metaphorically, but the message should be absolutely clear.  We are only limited by our own beliefs and the degree of faith required in order to bring our beliefs into physical reality where they can be experienced.

Another important “ingredient” for success is gratitude.  We must never take anything for granted.  We all have “God-given” powers to create our own reality, and we should be most grateful for that.  Being grateful however does not mean standing for example in a “place of worship” and “giving thanks” by means of meaningless pre-written words, or by following the lead of a church minister; it means actually feeling sincerely grateful in your very Being.  We do not connect with the Universe by opening our mouths and allowing words to come out; we connect at the level of thoughts and feelings fueled by emotion.

What has this to do with telekinesis you might be asking by now?  Well the fact is it has everything to do with it.

It will not be possible to physically move anything that is perceived as being separate from ourselves.  All appearance of “separation” is an illusion, plain and simple.  There is no separation in the Universe; we are all aspects of the same omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, conscious, intelligent Energy; the Mind of “God” the Universe in which we live and move and have our being.  “God” is not separate from us or from anything else.

Again, to quote from the Christian bible: “On that day, you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you” – John 14:20″

So again, regardless of what we might think of the bible, here again we have a Universal truth that everyone should know and understand, the truth that God, humans and everything are one.

Yes “Jesus” was the “son of God”, but no more or less than you or I; and for that matter we should be grateful.  So if we are to exercise our “God-given” powers the very first pre-requisite is that we fully recognize and assimilate the truth that whatever it is we wish to influence or move is part of us, and not separate from us.  Every “object” shares the same Divine Energy as we.

While we think about moving “that pencil” or “that door” or “that candle flame” or “that” anything; it will be not possible to move it.  With faith and belief, these are very important truths to understand before practicing any “metaphysical” ability.

When we “move” anything we “move” an aspect of ourselves, always.

The next question is; what “causes” objects to “move”?  Well as always the immediate answer is “thought”.  But what does thought influence?  Energy!   Some people talk about this sort of “Energy” and that sort of “Energy” for example “Psychic Energy” or “Reiki” or “Chi”, but in fact these are all metaphors for the very same Universal Energy which can equally be referred to as the “Quanta” of quantum physics, or simply “Spirit”.  Energy is Energy, plain and simple; and is influence by thought.  So in the broadest terms, Telekinesis, often known as “Psychokinesis”, may therefore be defined as:

“The process of moving an aspect of ourselves by influencing Energy using the power of the Mind”.

Therefore, when we practice Telekinesis we are in reality “moving” an aspect of ourselves just as we would move an arm, finger or leg, which of course, to most people, is an entirely natural, effortless, instinctive process.

So Telekinesis is an entirely natural process, the main difference being that we are moving something that appears to be not physically connected; although of course in reality it is connected, as are all things.  So before we can start moving “objects” it is extremely important to first fully understand, believe and know these important truths.  As long as you perceive yourself as moving something that is separate to you, you will not find it possible to do.

Another aspect, as previously discussed is “belief” and “unlimited thinking”.  Belief is that absolutely unshakeable knowing, that not only “can” it be done, but it “Is” already done.  We already know that there is no “past” or “future”, there is only “Now”, so when we move an object with our Mind there is never a point at which the object “will move”; there is only “it is moving” or “it has moved”.  Unlimited thinking is also very important for the reasons previously discussed.  It is really no more “difficult” to move a mountain than a grain of sand; the only thing that governs these relative actions and abilities is belief.

The Source, the First Cause, God created the heavens and Earth and everything else in creation.  As we are all aspects of God we have exactly the same abilities.  If you cannot believe it you will not achieve it; and this is why moving a mountain is beyond the comprehension of most humans, who look at this massive mound of rock, towering thousands of feet high, and believe it cannot be moved.  that belief alone will guarantee you cannot move it.

The same principle applies at all levels.  So by now you will see that before anything can be achieved by telekinesis, there are preparations to be made.

It is these preparations or more often lack of them that following most other texts on Telekinesis very often result in a lack of success, because without these important preparations any degree of success becomes very difficult, and usually cannot be attained at all.

Many spiritual seekers are fascinated by the development of psychic abilities like remote viewing, telepathy and astral projection. While seeming incredible to some skeptics, the unlocking of these abilities is a natural consequence of pursuing a spiritual discipline aimed at direct communion with God or the ultimate reality. This is the path of the mystic.

In the process of studying and applying the universal laws which govern the universe, a student of mysticism will begin to unveil his or her inner senses. That is, the counterparts of his or her objective senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell will awaken, which are often referred to as psychic abilities.

There are two aspects to prepare you to unlock these abilities:

1) Awareness that they are real; and
2) Clearing your energy centers, especially the pineal and pituitary glands.

STEP 1: AWARENESS

Remote Viewing

Remote viewing is the name given to the ability to see objects that are distantly located in time or space using your “inner vision.” In the late ’70s, researchers at Stanford Research Institute (SRI) conducted tests under a Defense Department grant.

Using psychics, they were able to develop a set of rigorous protocols. Amazingly, what they discovered was that almost anyone could learn to remote view. At this point the program left the lab and operated under various names, such as Grill Flame and Stargate, to spy on the Soviets, among other things.

While seemingly new, this practice is an aspect of the more general concept of clairvoyance, which mystics have practiced for ages. The remote viewing program was officially “halted” in the ’90s. Many of the participants who worked in these programs, as well as other government programs that develop psychic abilities or ESP, have spoken to me of their experiences.

Telepathy

Telepathy is the ability to send and receive thoughts using only your inner senses. It is another skill mystics have practiced for ages. The object of mysticism is not primarily to develop such skills, but rather to experience direct communion with God or the ultimate reality. However, while working toward this goal your inner senses will begin to emerge.

Everyone has latent psychic abilities. Over 70% of Americans report having had some sort of psychic experience. You likely have had your own. The first step to developing these abilities is to understand that they are real.

Astral Projection or Out-of-Body Experience

Astral projection or astral travel is the mystic ability to project your psychic body separately from your physical body to enable it to travel through time and space. An out-of-body experience is another name, but astral projection and astral travel implies the conscious, intentional ability and not merely a chance event that may occur while sleeping.

The Illuminati

Throughout the ages, there have been stories of secret societies that help members to develop mystical skills. Dan Brown, author of the NY Times bestseller, The DaVinci Code, refers to one secret society, the Illuminati, as “one of the most powerful unseen forces in global politics.”

Illuminati literally means “Illuminated Ones.” In theory, members of this group would be advanced souls trying to uplift humanity. Sadly, when most people refer to the Illuminati, they are referring to a number of secret groups that have no interest in humanity’s welfare.

The good news is that there are a number of “Illuminated Ones” that act behind the scenes to thwart the evil plans of the bad apples. These are the true mystics, seeking the welfare of all. As more people “wake up” to what is happening, the faster these wicked plans will be overturned.

Why is this knowledge kept secret?

It is easy to grasp why spy agencies would not want to share their knowledge with the public. For other reasons, neither do the mystics. By tradition, only those deemed worthy received access to these secrets. In addition, those who violated their oaths of secrecy and revealed this hidden knowledge were severely punished.

In today’s world, many of these “mysteries” are publicly available. The problem is that you may not have the time or inclination to study and benefit from them. Even when you do make the effort, the information is often disjointed and difficult to sort out. Discernment is needed.

STEP 2: CLEARING YOUR ENERGY CENTERS (PSYCHIC CENTERS)

Your two most important psychic centers are located in the center of your brain: your pituitary and pineal glands. These glands correspond to the sixth and seventh chakras of eastern thought and account for 75% of your psychic abilities.

Intuition is your higher self communicating with you via these two energy centers. (Gut-feel is the stimulation of the nerve ganglia in the pit of your stomach and, while often valuable, is better defined as instinct.)

Your glands can be activated safely by sacred vowel sounds. The sound “Aum” or “Om” is one such sacred sound. Chanting it stimulates the pineal gland. Another way to activate these glands is by energy. Since their function is to step down the higher frequency vibrations of the higher planes, clearly, the energy required to stimulate these glands must also be of a higher vibration.

When you clear out these centers, you will more easily perceive the more subtle vibrations of your higher self and these higher worlds. Furthermore, by flushing the discordant thoughts, feelings and emotions from your mental and emotional bodies, you will be less likely to be distracted by negative, stagnant energies and more easily commune with your True Self, i.e. God.

Your planet is entering a critical transition state, characterized by a multiplicity of Chaotic Nodes.

In our previous communications we have discussed the changes taking place on your Earth in the context of a single Chaotic Node. But from our viewpoint, multiple Chaotic Nodes are now emerging. These complex interacting nodes involve such things as radical weather anomalies, increases in earthquake and volcanic activity, critical challenges to the planet’s eco-systems, challenges to agriculture and food sources, as well as political and economic volatility.

In addition to these planetary Chaotic Nodes, the sun of your solar system is entering a greater level of volatility and unpredictability as well. It is entering into multiple Chaotic Nodes itself, driven by its own internal cycles, but also greatly impacted, as we have said in previous messages, by the galactic center.

The physical challenges you will face in the near future are many, but our message at this time does not concern the physical dimension of these difficulties. These changes, and their resulting challenges, will be apparent to anyone who looks beneath the surface of current events.

Our focus in this communication is on the emotional and spiritual crisis you are facing.

When a system enters multiple Chaotic Nodes there is increased stress on those elements or beings that reside in the vibratory level of existence where the Chaotic Nodes are taking place.

Let us speak to this for a moment in terms other than human existence. From our experience, other dimensions of consciousness and existence are also experiencing their own version of multiple Chaotic Nodes. Thus, the energetic challenges you are facing are not limited just to Earth, but extend to all dimensions of consciousness and all beings, including non-corporeal (energy beings without bodies), who are related to Earth and this galaxy.

But let us come down to Earth, to the nexus point of your existence in time and space.

As we said earlier, beings living in a realm of existence undergoing multiple Chaotic Nodes will be inevitably stressed by increases in chaotic events.

As chaotic elements within planetary weather patterns increase, as challenges to agriculture multiply, and as economic problems grow, there will be an increase in global human anxiety.

This type of anxiety tends to center around physical survival, and while anxiety about survival can drive human beings into a type of madness and irrationality, there is something more insidious and hidden in the current transition state you are now entering.

This hidden danger has to do with thought forms perpetuated by some of your major religions and spiritual traditions. These thought forms and belief systems maintain the notion that there is a separation between the physical and the interdimensional (spiritual) aspects of your existence. The physical world is viewed as tainted; nature is seen as something to be subdued and dominated (as opposed to co-creating with the natural world), and in essence, the world is viewed as something to be escaped from.

We do not share this belief. Our experience is that consciousness is one continuum from the highest vibrations of light into the lowest vibrations of matter and that the very atoms and subatomic particles that comprise your world are, by their very nature, sacred—if by sacred you mean related to the whole.

As the stresses generated by multiple Chaotic Nodes increase, there will be a tendency for many humans to enter delusional and dissociative states of consciousness.

Those who adhere to the thought form that there is an eternal schism between the realms of matter and those of spirit will be most prone to this aberration in consciousness. And as stresses increase, due to the complex interaction of multiple Chaotic Nodes, there will be a marked tendency for some of these individuals to be separated further and further from the realities of the physical dimension. This type of communal dissociation will be further driven by religious and spiritual thought forms regarding “the End Times,” “the Day of Judgment,” and the “Purification of Earth.” This delusional state of mind will become a type of collective mental/emotional virus as whole groups of individuals succumb to stress and overwhelm as they struggle to deal with the global effects of multiple Chaotic Nodes.

Lines in the sand

From our perspective, a line is being drawn in the sands of human consciousness. And this line is nothing less than the demarcation between those who uphold the schism between matter and spirit as perpetuated by the world’s major religions and those who don’t.

What side of this line you stand on will determine to a great extent what you are open to, in terms of planetary and personal transformation.

All Initiates must determine for themselves, what is true and not true, especially when it comes to this religiously perpetuated schism between matter and spirit. And by Initiates, we simply mean those who strive to live upward in consciousness, regardless of the method or spiritual traditions they follow.

The Path of the Heart

From our perspective, the threshold for an Initiate from the lower vibrational worlds into the upper worlds is, first and foremost, through the heart. This transit of consciousness is essentially an inner journey from the lower chakras to the higher chakras. It is only when an Initiate both transcends and transforms his or her personal fixation on security, sex and power that the upward spiral opens. And the entrance into this upward spiral of consciousness occurs when the heart chakra becomes energetically open and permeable.

The paradox and the difficulty is that you live in a dualistic universe, and virtually any action you take is met by a counter-force. This paradox and difficulty is like a metaphorical grain of sand in an oyster; it is irritating. But through the process of self-evolution, the irritation (i.e. duality) becomes a pearl, and paradoxically, something of value emerges from that which was problematic. But each Initiate must create this pearl of self-transformation for him or herself. No religion, no master, no teacher or guru can do it for you.

It may sound too simplistic but, in our experience, the greatest evolutionary catalyst, and the greatest vibratory field of safety to bridge transition states (such as the one you are collectively entering), is through the heart, your heart.

Let us be more specific here. As the number of Chaotic Nodes increases, the challenges to mental and emotional stability will multiply. And as a result, increasing numbers of individuals will enter irrational states of consciousness. There will be a tendency for these individuals to act out in self-destructive ways. And because you are connected to all life on this planet, you will be affected to some extent by the emotional turmoil of others.

Thus it would be of great benefit to you as an Initiate, to cultivate a coherent emotional state, something you return to again and again, reinforcing what we call a positive attractor.

Then it will be as if you have an energetic bubble of coherency around you. You will be able to see clearly and respond to the dualistic world you live in, yet your vibratory essence will remain protected from the increasing levels of chaos and irrationality of others. How you do this is your choice. There are many ways to accomplish this. We will simply offer two.

The first is the most basic and fundamental but is the foundation for the more advanced. We are well aware that many persons reading these messages are new to this type of information, while others are very advanced, which is why we are offering two techniques.

The Basic Technique

This first method is for those unfamiliar with the vastness of their own inner consciousness. It is simple but highly effective.

We recommend you regularly cultivate this coherent state in the garden of your mind.

To accomplish this, you simply reside in the feelings of appreciation or gratitude, without any reason to do so. In other words, you are not looking to something in your environment or your life to feel appreciation or gratitude for. You simply enter into this vibratory state for no other reason other than choosing to do so.

This vibratory state creates a coherency in your body and mind, and it is a type of mental/emotional upliftment that acts as a counter-balance to the downward spiral many humans will be experiencing.

We recommend that you enter this emotional state several times a day. Just a minute or two is all that is needed, but by entering into this vibratory state throughout the day, you train your brain/mind/body to enter into a coherent state at will. And this will be a very helpful and important mind-skill as you enter further into this planetary transition state (i.e. the emergence of multiple Chaotic Nodes).

One reason we say that this mind-skill will be helpful to you is due to the inherent effects of multiple Chaotic Nodes.

Many of you will find greater opportunities for frustration in your daily life. This is because actions taken will increasingly not lead to the result anticipated. Even those of you who are intellectually gifted and masters of manifestation may find blocks and unanticipated hindrances, due to no causation on your part, but rather due to the actions or inactions of others, as well as unanticipated problems caused by the increase of chaotic events in the world around you. Thus, when you find yourself at your wit’s end, so to speak, if you have cultivated the positive attractor of appreciation or gratitude you can use it to intervene into your own emotional turmoil, for if you succumb to your own emotional stress the contagion of mass hysteria is more likely to reach you.

Think of this simple technique as a lifesaver. It’s something passive, you just rest in it, and it creates a vibratory field that by its very nature protects your emotional and spiritual essence.

The Advanced Technique

The second technique we wish to share is for those of you who are more experienced with your inner worlds.

We discussed the first part of this method in a previous message called Ecstasy and the Heart.

The technique involves focusing on the physical heart, not the heart chakra, and while focusing your attention on the physical heart you enter into the state of appreciation or gratitude (just as with the simple method we gave earlier).

The effect of holding your awareness in the physical heart while experiencing appreciation or gratitude creates bliss or ecstasy if you hold the two together long enough.

Once you enter bliss or ecstasy you become aware of the space between the atoms of your body and your environment. This is a shift of mental attention and is based on the quantum reality that physical matter is over 99% space.

Obviously, you do not perceive this space between the atoms of your body and your immediate environment through your physical senses due to the limitations of your nervous system. But the non-local aspect of your consciousness that is unfettered by the limitations of your physical reality can experience this space.

The final stage of this technique involves a shifting of attention. As you become aware of this space in your body and the space around you, you perform a paradoxical feat of consciousness. You send the appreciation and gratitude you are experiencing, both to the space within your body and to the space around you, as well to the particles of matter that comprise your body and the world around you.

This “holding” of both space and matter in the vibratory realm of appreciation or gratitude will eventually reveal your nature as both an embodied and un-embodied being—as a being living through a physical body or form and simultaneously as a consciousness unbounded by form. If you persist with this method, it will eventually open a miraculous doorway for you, a doorway that leads to profound insights regarding the nature of ascension.

In regard to choosing which method to use, we suggest you begin where you are.

The first method, though simple, is highly effective at protecting you from the contagion of human irrationality and will lift you upward into the currents of the upward spiral, even as those around you spiral downward.

When you feel you are ready, you can explore the advanced method. This is not a marathon race to see who can get to the advanced method the quickest.

The only thing that is required is that you reside in appreciation or gratitude as often as possible without causation. This simple vibratory realm will be a great ally to you as you pass through the current planetary transition state.

Another ally to you in this transition is a meditation we gave in one of our previous communications. We call it The Crystal Palace Within, and we encourage you to experiment with it. If it speaks to you, use it often for it connects you to the wisdom of Gaia (Earth) and enlivens a central conduit for the higher realms of your existence known to your science as your pineal gland and known to us as the jewel in the head.

Summary

As we said at the beginning of this message, you are entering a critical transition state. For those unfamiliar with our previous message entitled Transition States of Consciousness, we strongly suggest that you take a look at this communication.

Your Earth is entering a perilous period in its upward movement. Many aspects of your reality will be changing right before your eyes, more rapidly than you could ever have imagined.

Due to the acceleration of time, the transformation of your civilization will increase exponentially. Your word “transformation” literally means moving beyond form, thus the structures of your reality (meaning the thought forms and beliefs as well as the external realities of your life) will be undergoing rapid change.

A greater fluidity of consciousness is required. Protection of your vibratory essence is vital. You are entering harrowing times and yet in this complexity there are immense opportunities for your own personal evolution.

We believe that there will be a greater polarization between people as the Chaotic Nodes increase in number and intensity. And yet even in the midst of that polarization, if your heart/mind is open you will have moments of deep communion with others, even strangers, whenever you look into the eyes of another human being who recognizes the sacredness of this moment, the sacredness of life, and the sacredness of this Earth.

Tom’s Thoughts and Observations

According to the Hathors, we are now witnessing the rising of multiple Chaotic Nodes, with a resulting increase in chaotic events and situations all over the world.

The Hathors have singled out a few of these Nodes in their message, such as extreme stresses on our ecosystems, bizarre weather patterns which are, in turn, negatively affecting both agriculture and our food sources, as well as earth changes (i.e. earthquakes and volcanoes), not to mention drastic economic and political volatility.

But they don’t spend a lot of time on the details of these physical calamities. They say quite rightly, I think, that the consequences of these Chaotic Nodes can be ascertained by anyone who looks beneath the surface of current events.

The primary focus of their message is two-fold: one, how each of us can create a vibrational field of protection as we collectively move into this transition state (and the corresponding increase in global chaos). And secondly, they address what they see as a hidden danger, which paradoxically isn’t physical, but mental.

They slam some of the world’s major religions and spiritual traditions for the toxic and insidious effects from some of their central thought forms—first, that nature is something to be dominated and subdued according to our will (as opposed to co-creating with the natural world—to use the Hathors’ own words). And secondly, that there is an eternal schism and battle between matter and spirit. The Hathors are so convinced that these are toxic thought forms and beliefs they have mentioned them in two of their recent messages.

I have been working with the Hathors for over twenty years now, and they are normally more gracious when it comes to allowing others their own perceptions. It is highly unusual for them to take such an adamant stance.

After receiving this most recent message, I asked one of my Hathor mentors about this unprecedented attack on two common thought forms in many religious and spiritual traditions. His response was that humanity is at a tipping point and that the two aforementioned thought forms are a toxic poison that has polluted, and continues to pollute, our collective approach to life itself (since according to some of these traditions, life is either a punishment, an error and/or an illusion).

The Hathors consider these ideas to be delusional in nature, since according to their perception, there is no separation between spirit (i.e. interdimensional realities) and matter. Indeed, as they said, they see consciousness as one continuum from the highest vibrations of light to the lowest vibrations of matter. And for them, matter is inherently sacred since it is an expression of this continuum. It’s just that things move slower in the worlds of matter than they do in the realms of light.

In true Hathorian style, they say that each and every Initiate (i.e. anyone striving to live upward in consciousness) must make his or her own decision regarding the religiously perpetuated schism between spirit and matter. In other words, they are not telling us what to believe (nor should they). But they have unquestionably made their position crystal clear.

Collective Madness

They also discuss how many of us will experience significant stress reactions as the global effects of the Chaotic Nodes become more intense. One result of human-related stress, according to them, will be an increase in collective mental and emotional instability. And furthermore, they think, “there will be a tendency for many humans to enter delusional and dissociative states of consciousness.”

The psychosocial history of humanity shows pretty clearly, I think, that when social, economic, and/or environmental stresses reach a certain point, mental health problems crop up in the collective human family like mushrooms in springtime.

The psychiatrist Carl Jung predicted World War II based on the tormented dreams of his patients shortly after the end of World War I. The intensity and similarities of his patients’ nightmares indicated, to him, that the human collective was deeply disturbed and traumatized by something that would materialize in the near future.

In fact, a relatively new field of socio-psychology has been looking at the complex interactions of social and economic pressures, how they generate stress reactions in people, and how this type of stress can result in mental health problems. In this regard, I found a study released by the National Institute of Mental Health to be a fascinating piece of reading. For those interested in such matters, I would refer you to a document entitled “Social Stressors and Social Resources and their Health Consequences,” NIMH Office of Prevention and Special Projects, Bethesda, MD, August 17-19 1995. But turning our attention back to the Hathors’ comments about increased delusion and dissociative states of consciousness, they site one example of this as the expectations of many that we are at the verge of (or some would say already at) Judgment Day.

The Doomsday Scenarios

The idea that we are near the apocalyptic end of time is hardly new.

At the end of the first millennium, a type of End-times Madness engulfed Europe. Convinced that the world was coming to an end and the return of Jesus was imminent, untold numbers of people left their villages, their livelihoods, and set off on pilgrimages to atone for their perceived sins against God. When the first day of the new millennium (1,000A.D.) dawned and the world had not ended, many firm believers were no doubt dismayed. After all, the return of Jesus guaranteed escape from the madness of their time.

More recently, a modern day prophet calculated the end day of creation to be May 21st of this year (2011). He based this upon what he called a meticulous analysis of the Bible. And his vision of the Apocalyptic End Times went viral through a large group of fundamentalist evangelical Christians. In an odd recapitulation of the last millennium, many of these devoted believers left their jobs while others donated their entire life savings to take out full page ads and to put up billboards to save the heathen unbelievers from eternal damnation by bringing them into the flock during the final days.

When May 21st came and went, and the morning of May 22nd dawned, unaware that it was supposed to not have been, many of these believers were, no doubt, shaken. Others, however, have jumped ship and now say that May 21st was a miscalculation, and that the correct date for the end of the world is October 21st, 2011.

But this End Times Madness is hardly limited to Christian fundamentalists. The New Age has its own potent and heady brew called the Mayan End Times. And according to these literalists, the world will end when the current Mayan Long Count calendar comes to an end on December 21, 2012.

Personally, I think that the Mayan Calendar is more like a cosmic odometer. When the Calendar ends, it simply rolls over and starts a new cycle of time. The old count of time ends, but a new one begins. To say that the world will end on December 21st of next year is, to me, like saying that my car will disappear when the odometer rolls over 100,000 miles. I just don’t buy it.

I have asked the Hathors on various occasions what they felt about the end of the Mayan Calendar and their position has been consistent. The end of the Mayan Long Count does not mean the end of the world to them, but it does mean the end of the world as we have known it. They also believe that a powerful evolutionary energetic will be released on December 21st 2012 from the galactic core, what is sometimes called the Central Sun. But while this energetic will have a powerful transforming effect on humanity, it does not, for them, signal the end of Homo sapiens. In fact, some of their predictions regarding humanity center on cosmic events taking place in 2023A.D. In other words, they do not see an end to mankind anytime soon, but they do see a radical transformation taking place in the global consciousness of humanity itself.

The Implicit and Unspoken Consequence

History will, of course, eventually reveal who is right and who is wrong in regards to all this End of the World stuff—that is assuming, of course, that some future history does, in fact, exist for humanity.

Perhaps the doomsayers are right, and the world will end in a final judgment brought on by an angry God, or as some believers in ancient alien intervention attest to, the world will end when the Anunnaki return to review their genetically modified slave labor force (i.e. mankind).

Maybe as some believe, the Great Benevolent Ones will return and save us from ourselves. And the end of the Mayan Calendar will usher us into a new Age of the Gods and all of the nightmarish things we see happening around us will be like a bad dream when we wake up.

Or perhaps the Mayan literalists are right, and when the Mayan Calendar ends, so will time and so will our world.

But Doomsday Thinking presents, at least for me, some intrinsic problems regardless of its origins. For one, it is—by its very nature—self-limiting and essentially disempowering. And too much time spent delving into the numerous Doomsday scenarios can lead one into a very negative state of mind indeed.

The unspoken consequence of this type of thinking is that it diminishes any actions we might take in our lives. And our power to act, to change situations in our lives, is one of our most important attributes.

Vibrational Fields of Protection

In this message, the Hathors gave two methods for dealing with the chaotic nature of the transition state that our planet is now entering. Both of these methods deal with the heart and/or emotional states associated with the heart. This is not surprising since the Hathors have told me from day one that the most effective and safe means to accelerate one’s spiritual evolution is through the heart and through the emotions of appreciation and/or gratitude.

The first method they shared is for those who are new to this type of information. If you are an advanced practitioner, you might wish to skip over this next section since it is fairly basic. My discussion of the advanced technique follows the heading The Advanced Technique/Philosophical Considerations.

The Basic Technique

The idea here is to enter into the emotion, or feeling-state, of appreciation or gratitude. And you enter this state of body and mind for no reason other than choosing to experience it.

In other words, you don’t look to something in your life that you feel appreciation or gratitude for. You enter into this feeling-state through an act of will.

According to the Hathors, when you reside in this state of body and mind, you create what they call a positive attractor. It positively affects your mood, your thinking, and your behavior and, they would say, your vibrational energy-field as well.

The Hathors are suggesting that we enter into this feeling-state of appreciation or gratitude several times a day—so that we become masters of it—meaning that we can enter it anytime of day or night at will.

They say that this ability will serve us greatly as we, and the other nearly 7 billion people on this planet, enter more deeply into the consequences of so many Chaotic Nodes. In other words—the feeling state of appreciation or gratitude is an antidote, a mental/emotional protection, against chaotically induced stress responses.

The more often you practice this flipping of your mental/emotional state into the feelings of appreciation or gratitude, the better you will become at it. This type of emotional brain skill is just that—a skill. And like all skills, mastery is gained through repetition. We have to build the neuro-circuits in our brains before we can count on the response to be there when we most need it.

If you are the type of person with a well-developed neural network that gives you access to your emotions, you can probably just recall the feeling of appreciation or gratitude. And as you do so, you will notice the quality of your emotions changing into the coherent and positive feeling of appreciation or gratitude. Now all you need to do is choose to enter into this feeling-state several times a day. Do it as a type of mental experiment. Do it in situations when it is easy and do it in situations when it is difficult to do, like when you are annoyed, impatient or angry. See what happens when you intervene into your own mental/emotional experience with this coherent emotional state (i.e. appreciation or gratitude). And remember, the more you practice this, the more adept and masterful you will become.

If you are the type of person who does not have direct access to your emotions, you might try the memory recall method. The idea, here, is that when you remember an event or a situation in which you experienced an emotion, the emotion tends to come back into your awareness when you access the memory.

Thus, the first step is to recall something in your past that you felt appreciation or gratitude for. It does not matter what the reason was. It could have been something big, or it could have been something small. It really doesn’t matter so long as you felt some degree of appreciation or gratitude.

The next step is to recall the actual memory. Remember the situation, the details of where you were. Bring all your senses into this experience. Imagine yourself actually physically being there. See it; hear it; feel the physical sensations. As you fine tune your memory of what it was that made you feel appreciation, you will find yourself feeling that emotion again.

The final step is to let the memory drop away so that what you have left is the feeling-state itself. As you rest in this coherent emotion of appreciation or gratitude, familiarize yourself with its quality. Eventually you will be able to recall the feeling-state of appreciation or gratitude without having to go to the memory. At this point, you are ready to enter into the coherent feeling-state of appreciation or gratitude several times a day. And remember… practice makes perfect.

Some people are unable to access the feeling-state of appreciation or gratitude either directly or through the memory recall method. This is usually due to many different factors such as neural networking in the brain and especially past history. In other words, when these persons go searching for something in the past they felt appreciation or gratitude for, they come up empty. They simply cannot recall any positive experience that would generate these types of feelings.

If you happen to be this type of individual, you can create a new neural network in your brain that will allow you to experience the coherent feeling-state of appreciation or gratitude even though you have never actually experienced it in your life.

To do this, you will be engaging something called creative fantasy. And as odd as it may sound, in certain situations the body/mind cannot tell the difference between a real and an imagined event.

When you create a healing fantasy, you release powerful healing responses in your body/mind even though the source for these healing responses is your imagination!

The first step in this particular method is to think of something that would make you feel appreciation or gratitude. It doesn’t matter what this imaginary something is. It could be something really big, or something simple. It just needs to be something that would make you feel appreciation or gratitude.

Next, you start to build the fantasy by imagining yourself in the situation and receiving whatever it is that would make you feel appreciation or gratitude. Imagine yourself fully and completely in this situation, as if it were actually happening. See it; feel the physical sensations; hear the sounds.

As you fill in your senses, the fantasy will seem more and more real to you. When you feel the emotion of appreciation or gratitude rising up within you, let the fantasy drop away so that you are left with the feeling.

Sometimes people have a secondary response to the fantasy in addition to the feeling of appreciation or gratitude. These secondary responses can include such feelings as sadness, regret, or anger that they never had anything in their life that made them feel either appreciation or gratitude.

If this happens for you, allow yourself to experience the secondary responses. The idea here is not to cover anything up, especially authentic emotional responses to situations in your life. The idea is to introduce a new feeling-state that you can work with.

If you let yourself feel the secondary responses long enough, they will eventually fade in their intensity. At this point, return to the fantasy and let the feeling-state of appreciation or gratitude rise up again. Then rest in this coherent feeling-state as long as you are comfortable with it so that you begin to recognize its quality.

Some people with a lot of secondary responses may have to go through this creative fantasy method several times. Stick with it, as both it and you are worth the effort.

When you sense the feeling-state of appreciation or gratitude arising from your fantasy work without secondary responses, you are ready to start experimenting with the coherent feeling-state as described above. Experiment with it. Try it in all types of situations. The more you practice entering into appreciation or gratitude at will, the more masterful you will become.

There is another, often unexpected benefit from doing this practice. As you enter into this coherent feeling-state of appreciation or gratitude over and over again at will, you create a positive attractor. And you will eventually attract to you situations, people and opportunities that will make you feel appreciation or gratitude in your real life.

The Advanced Technique/Philosophical Considerations

I think it is quite important to discuss the philosophical implications of the Advanced Technique before going into some of the finer details. The reason for this reticence on my part is that the Advanced Technique alters brain processing and inner perception in profound ways. And I think you should know what you are getting into so that you can decide if it is, in fact, something you want to experience or not.

If you read the Hathors’ instructions for this method, you will notice that there is a moment in the technique when you focus on your physical heart while feeling the emotion of appreciation or gratitude.

If you stay with this long enough, there will be a spontaneous arising of bliss or ecstasy. And then, according to the Hathors, you remain in bliss while contemplating (i.e. being aware of) the emptiness or space that comprises your body.

This dual awareness of bliss and emptiness produces a profound shift in inner perception. It is a type of liberation, since you directly experience the infinite and non-local nature of your own consciousness. While in this state of inner awareness, the constraints of your body and the limitations of the world are transcended.

You have entered an infinite state of mind that knows no boundaries.

If you get this far into the technique, I suggest you spend a good deal of time in this expanded state of mind, and really enjoy it before going to the next step. I say this because it is for me, at least, a deeply nourishing and restful state of body and mind.

In the next step you send appreciation to both the space that comprises your body as well as the actual matter that comprises your body—remembering that all matter, including your body, is over 99% space.

Each of us will have our own experience of this step, I imagine. For me, it is a visceral experience. I am brought back from my unbounded state of mind to a state in which I am both bound by the limitations of my body and transcendent to them all at the same time. I am, in other words, both non-local and localized simultaneously. This is a truly odd state.

When I remain in this dual state of non-localized and localized consciousness long enough, I start to experience surges of energy entering my body from what seems to be the internal space of my body. And my body often starts to spontaneously enter into a type of circular rocking motion (if I am sitting upright or cross legged), which is known to yogis and yoginis as kriyas. Kriyas are a sign that subtle energies are moving through the body.

This phase of the technique, at least for me, is not restful, it is potent and energizing.

According to the Hathors, this phase of the Advanced Technique generates a flow of subtle energies from the body’s interdimensional space into the KA (the energy body) and from here into the cells of the physical body via the mitochondria and then into the DNA. I have no way to determine, for the record, if this is what is actually occurring. I am only reporting what the Hathors told me about it when I asked them some pointed questions about my personal experiences with the method.

They say that the energizing of the KA/mitochondria/DNA will spontaneously reveal insights into the process and nature of ascension if the practitioner works with this technique long enough.

And this is the crux of the philosophical dilemma. The Advanced Technique alters inner perception in such a way that you will experience the non-localized (i.e. transcendent) aspects of your being as well as the localized aspects.

Furthermore, it creates a bridge between the aspect of you that is embodied and the aspect of you that is transcendent to your embodiment. One of the effects of this bridge in consciousness is that you bring into your body some very potent energetics from the aspect of you that is transcendent to your body.

I would not suggest this technique to anyone who believes in a schism between matter and spirit or who thinks there is a battle between the spirit and the flesh. This technique is, at its most fundamental level, about spiritualizing matter. And if that is not something you are interested in, I would not advise engaging this technique at all.

Who are the Hathors?

The Hathors say that they are a group of interdimensional, intergalactic beings who were connected with ancient Egypt through the Temples of the Goddess Hathor, as well as several other pre-history cultures.In the late 1980′s, I was “contacted” by them during meditation, and they began to instruct me in the vibratory nature of the cosmos, the use of sacred geometry as a means to stimulate brain performance, and in the use of sound to activate psycho-spiritual experiences. While I was intrigued with the information, I was, at the time, uncomfortable with their self-described origins. I was, after all a practicing psychotherapist and involved in brain research at the time. In short, I was a rationalist. And these beings—whoever they were and wherever they came from—did not fit into my views of reality at the time.

In the nearly twenty years since first-contact, I have tried and tested their “inner technologies” many times, and have always found both their methods and their perspectives illuminating.

Opening your third eye can freak you out if you’re not prepared for what you might experience.

I activated my third eye using a technique I learned for projecting astrally, and the most peculiar thing happened…

A bright-green cyclone appeared from the virtual space behind my eyelids and began to twist outward. This isn’t something I visualized or imagined… I could clearly see this cyclonic twisting tunnel and the more I watched it, the more it seemed to fade away.

It was like when I would place my focus on the cyclone, or try to make it twist, or see it better… it would vanish. But as soon as I realized what I was doing, I let go and simply observed. And in a few seconds it would come back, big and bright as ever.

I will share the particular technique I used with you in just a moment, but what’s most interesting is that once I disciplined myself to the point where I could just “be” and observe with pure awareness, the cyclone would stay and move further outward into the virtual empty space from behind closed eyes.

I could then project an image or a symbol representing someone I wanted to see, or some place I wanted to visit at the very end of this twisting tunnel and at some point there’s a *POP* and my conscious awareness would propel itself at an incredible speed through this strange tunnel.

Once it hit the “light” at the end, I would project out of body.

What’s even stranger is that after two weeks of doing this particular technique every day, I began to see the light green tunnel twisting outward about three or four feet away even while my eyes were open! I’ve never heard or read about this phenomenon anywhere, so to experience it firsthand astounded me.

I also discovered that I could close my eyes and project out of body in about 20-30 seconds while the tunnel was the strongest. This goes far beyond visualizing and imagining, for all intensive purposes, this was real.

And it became a bit too much. For a few weeks after, the green twisting cyclone would actually obstruct the view of physical objects in my vision. While fascinating and stunning, this began to make life a tad more difficult than it needs to be.

Sure, I could pretty much go astral on command, but it was at the cost of my sanity and stability in the physical world. Astral thought-forms and entities would sometimes “bleed through” into the physical dimension and I would see them moving around, flying, floating almost mindlessly until vanishing into an invisible veil of some sort.

This happened multiple times daily, and only started getting worse.

This isn’t an astral horror story, but I figured it may be of use to you for you to know of the uber-strangeness than can happen when you actually start putting these things into practice on a daily basis. Weirdness becomes commonplace. (I know you’re probably wondering, “was this guy on serious drugs?” and the answer is no. I was completely sober throughout this experience.)

The effect began to lessen as I simply stopped doing the technique on a daily basis. It is now gone but can be brought back anytime I begin to use the technique on a consistent basis… usually for a week or two.

I honestly have no name for it. I have no idea what it’s called, or who may have discovered it before me. I only know from a very intense, prolonged personal experience that it exists, and if I can do it, anyone can. You can too.

It creates what I can only describe as an open portal to another dimension. The portal will stay open after a short time of energizing it, and re-energizing it. This is done by using the technique over and over again, once before sleep at night, and again in the morning, just before getting out of bed.

Here is the Open Portal Technique…

1. Lie down and relax completely. Use the Total Relaxation Technique described in a previous blog post to help you relax and enter the Alpha level of mind. With either hand, take your pointer finger (index finger) and place it gently between and just below your eyebrows at the top of the bridge of the nose. Begin circling your finger clockwise and massaging this area gently for about 30 seconds. Afterward, pull your finger away and notice if you still feel a “swirling” effect in this area without touching it.

2. Once you feel the swirling sensation coming from inside your head in this area, simply observe the swirling of the energy, tilt your eyeballs upwards twenty degrees and see if the feeling intensifies. If there is a stronger sensation of swirling without touching the area, breathe in through the nose and as you do FEEL energy (you can pretend or imagine this part) rise up through the soles of your feet, upwards into the calves, moving upward into the legs, groin, hips, torso, up the spine, into the throat, head and into the swirling area of energy. This can be done with one single inhale. On exhale, feel the area strengthen and pulsate with a glowing power.

3. Again, inhale and bring the energy (imagined or felt is the same) upward through the soles, up the body through the spinal cord into the head and into that area of swirling energy. On exhale, feel the energy greatly intensify with power. Do this 33 times. That is 11 sets of three breaths – in and out. So breathe in, pull in energy into the area, breathe out, intensify and amplify the energy three times in a row, then do it again another three times, and then three more, etc. until you have performed this pattern eleven times total.

4. If you have done this and felt it as you’ve done it, you will no doubt be feeling a rather intense swirling effect going on in this particular area of your head. You can probably re-create the feeling in a few seconds now by simply thinking of the swirling. It’s still important to pull in energy from the quantum vacuum and direct it into this area to strengthen and solidify the energetic form.

5. Repeat this every night before bed, and every morning before getting out of bed. Do this for two weeks. You will most likely begin to “see things” pretty quickly afterward. I don’t know for certain if you will see the same things I did, such as the light-green twisting cyclone, but you will have activated and opened your third eye to the point where your awareness will be greatly expanded.

6. This makes it easier than ever to actually project your conscious awareness through the tunnel and go wherever you want, just by placing a mental image of where you want to go or who you want to see at the perceivable end of the tunnel. It is highly recommended that you keep a journal right by your bedside so you can write down whatever words or images come to you upon your re-integration into the physical body… you have less than 10 seconds from that point to remember what happened.

7. After two weeks of doing this technique, I wouldn’t recommend continuing it on a daily basis as an overload of energy can cause other systems in the body/mind to become somewhat unbalanced, and from my experience can cause a bit of chaos. Experiment wisely, and record your results. If things get too intense, back off completely, readjust your schedule and do it less often.

Please keep in mind that if one is not properly prepared or protected, it is not a safe practice to open portals such as this.

Before doing ANY astral or energetic work, it is very important to saturate yourself mentally in a violet light. This may not make any logical sense, but the color violet is very high on the spectrum of light and vibrates at very high frequencies. Higher frequencies “chase away” lower ones and lower vibrations simply cannot exist in the same space as higher vibrations. (i.e. “light chases away the darkness”)

Give this technique an honest try if you are the adventurous type and would like to see what else is truly ‘out there.’

Remember, don’t just try this once, twice or three times and expect a result. You may, or may not get one. But doing this technique twice daily for two full weeks (that is 14 solid days in a row) — will prove to you that you are a spiritual being having a human experience.

I’m sure that many of you in the course of your spiritual journey have come across the concept of “energy cords”. Whenever we have contact with somebody, we literally connect with them via invisible, yet often tangible threads of energy that connect us to others usually via our chakras. These threads of energy can also connect to us via specific organs and other areas of the body.

It is through these energy threads that we exchange – receive and transmit – information and energy between ourselves and others as well as with more subtle energy realms (angelic, guides,our own Higher Self etc). Our intuitive sense are also fed via these connections. If a relationship is intense, whether negative or positive, these threads will often become thicker and more defined energy cords, some of which can remain long after the physical connection with an individual has ended.

We can either be nourished by the energy moving through the cords, or find ourselves becoming drained of our ability to sustain our internal power if the relationship was a negative one. In other words, the other individual either lovingly supports or literally sucks our power from us – I have known a few of the latter in my lifetime!

As we develop greater self-awareness, we begin to learn about the management of our energy and for most of us, this also means becoming aware of how to protect our auric space and free ourselves of negative or energy draining links with others.

At the vibrational level all energy attachments or cords are at their core simply a vibrational mass of fear manifesting in any number of emotional disguises such as resentment, an inability to forgive, envy, hurt, anger and so on. I am sure you can think of many more ‘unloving’ emotional connections that you can add to the list! These essentially represent patterns of behaviour that we must transform if we wish to move into higher states of consciousness and spiritual awareness.

Whenever we hold thoughts or emotions of fear, unworthiness, anger, hatred, dislike, self-loathing etc, this vibration ripples out attracting the same vibration back to us through circumstances and people resulting in an energetic linkage, or energy cord. It is clearly in the interest of our evolution and development to release or remove as many of these cords as possible to increase the overall vibration of our being.

The traditional way of doing this in almost all of the spiritual literature I have come across is Cutting the Ties, or cutting the cords. From working with Archangel Michael and his flaming sword, to imagining pink ribbons that you cut, most of the processes involve a severing concept of some sort. In other words, you would go into meditation, find out where the energy cords are and where they are attached and then see yourself cutting them, then sending loving energy to seal and protect your space (in one way or another).

This method of releasing one from the energetic connections through the cords was the way that I was also taught to work earlier on in my own spiritual journey. I even experienced the reality of this connection when I received a phone call from an ex-partner just as I was about to cut the cord! He actually said he didn’t know why he was calling, just that he had a sudden urge to do so – the timing was incredible, and I know that at an unconscious level he felt what I was about to do.

However, a number of years ago, I was busy doing some remote healing with a client and I could see an energy attachment to a past life personality that I was told the person needed to detach from as part of their healing. I immediately prepared the space to cut the energy cord (along with some other work), and heard a booming voice in my head that said :

“Don’t Cut the Cords!!”

The voice was so loud that I immediately opened my eyes to see if there was anybody else in the room! I closed my eyes again and placed a loving intent into the space, thinking that perhaps I hadn’t quite prepared and protected the space correctly and prepared to do it again.

“DON’T CUT THE CORDS!!” I was again told in no uncertain terms, and even louder than the first time!

So, realising that I was hearing Spirit, this time I listened and asked “why not?”, and received information that made such beautiful sense.

I was told that any time we ‘cut’ the energy cord between our own being and any other person, being or entity, it is akin to a trauma that leaves an imprint or memory in our energy field resulting in a weakness or distortion within our energy field. This area of weakness leaves us open to attracting further energy vibrating in alignment with the original fear.

I could feel the truth in these words as I heard them, and recalled a friend, who, many years ago did a cord cutting exercise and realised that the energy cord was so thick that she had to visualise a chain saw to cut it. She physically felt pain as she did this which is not surprising. Can you imagine being hacked at in order to release yourself from another??

Spirit then showed me a way of working that literally resulted in the cords dissolving, and as they did I could see and feel the deep fear of the energy within the cord – this in turn generated an incredible surge of love and compassion that infused the diamond field of the person I was working with. In this case, the energy cord was connected to an entity attachment, and it was gently taken by a number of loving spiritual helpers through a process of loving, protective transformation. It was a truly wonderful experience that we all benefited from.

Do not CUT energy cords when you find them, but seek to find the source of the cord within yourself.Then transmit loving soul energy in a rose gold colour from your core into the source of the cord. As you do this, the energy cord will literally dissolve from the inside out, transforming the negative pattern of energy and gracefully releasing you and the other person from this pattern.

There is an elegant simplicity to this process.

Even while I seek and sometimes go deeply into the esoteric understanding of spiritual development and energy work, the energetic alignments I have been gifted to work with are a constant reminder of the simple and uncomplicated nature of our deepest essence. So often it is the human mind and ego that seeks to complicate things and set up elaborate structures when this simply is not necessary.

Love, beauty and honouring our own truth are our gift to the world.

There is a lot of interest in the subjects of kundalini awakening and enlightenment, both by those having experiences and those curious about what the experiences mean. It appears that these experiences are becoming more common. They are also becoming more a part of accepted reality and less of a theoretical philosophy.One of the first issues is confusion. Confusion comes from trying to frame an experience of reality into a belief system in which it does not fit. Confusion is also the result of a complete lack of a belief system or knowledge base that is relevant to the experience. Religions and their dogmas and belief systems are sometimes rigid and judgmental. Some fundamentalist religious systems may look at an experience of enlightenment as “the work of the devil” or something equivalent and create harmful conflicts and feelings of guilt that are very inappropriate. For those lacking a knowledge base that recognizes kundalini and enlightenment phenomenon, the search for understanding or acceptance may lead to the experience and its individual empowerment and benefits being hijacked by gurus, personality cults and religions. Often, this occurs when an individual is anxiously seeking understanding and acceptance and is naive about the consequences of giving their own power to others who may be all too eager to receive it.

So, what exactly is a “kundalini awakening”?

The term “kundalini” comes from East Indian mysticism and yoga. Similar concepts are found in western mysticism and shamanic traditions. Kundalini literally means “coiled” and refers to a primal force or energy that lies coiled and somewhat latent at the base of the spine. A number of English translations refer to it as “serpent power” not because it has anything to do with serpents, but because of the perception of being a “coiled and rising” energy. Because of this visual association, the serpent is sometimes used as a symbol of this energy in numerous mythologies, cultures and systems of mysticism. The caduceus, the logo of medicine and healing, is two serpents coiled around a central staff. This symbol appears to have originated in ancient Egypt or Greece and represented the mystical power to heal through the application of realized kundalini energy or “serpent power”. Perhaps the best description of kundalini energy is “the natural energy of the Self where Self is the Universal Consciousness present in every being” (attributed to Sri Ramana Maharshi – introduced into Western awareness by Paul Brunton in his 1931 book, A Search in Secret India).

The rise of this energy through the human nervous system is associated with the activation or amplification of the primal energy associated with the basic energy centers or chakras in the body and the awakening of the consciousness that accompanies this process. The cultivation of this process is the goal of several yoga systems including Kundalini, Llaya and Kriya Yoga and Vajrayana Buddhism. The basic process is also evoked through the practice of meditation. These traditions have an extended program of training, preparation and guidance intended to enable the individual to experience the physical, psychological and psychic changes this energy brings as a constructive experience.

For most, however, qualified teachers and trainers are not available. Since there is no standard for certifying “qualified teachers”, identifying them can be problematical. The issue of kundalini energy being activated and out of control in the absence of expert guidance was brought to the public attention by Gopi Krishna. He practiced a routine of meditation for about 20 years when he began to experience dramatic and distressing changes to his body and consciousness. Gradually, over a 12 year period, he managed to focus his awakening into a stable, beneficial new and inspired consciousness. He founded the Kundalini Research Institute and is the author of several books. His message is that this power when activated in a body not ready and prepared for it can lead to every variation of mental disorder known. His message is that this power when activated in a body ready and prepared for it results in the awakening of creativity, intelligence, compassion and expanded awareness of the very highest order.

The terms “kundalini syndrome” and “spiritual crisis” have been used by western researchers and clinicians including Itzhak Bentov and Lee Sanella. They recognize the phenomenon and list and describe the associated symptoms. It is important to recognize that this is a Spiritual process rather than a clinical syndrome. A Spiritual awakening involves more than simply an activation or release of energy. A Spiritual awakening encompasses an expansion of consciousness and a refinement or purification of the consciousness and energy of the individual.

The unpleasant mental and physical symptoms that have been attributed to the kundalini experience are the result of the conflict between the individual’s unresolved personal issues and the superposition of a consciousness that requires a pure state.

In brief, the activation of energies in the specific chakras can be described as follows:

The first or root chakra is associated with the sexual organs. When this chakra is energized, the energy can result in increased personal power and drive. It will also amplify any inherent tendency in the individual toward sexual lust and desire, sexual perversions, and aggressiveness.

The second chakra is associated with the leydig glands. When this chakra is energized, the energy can result in an increased and enhanced Spiritual consciousness and a deeper connection to the soul. It will also amplify any inherent tendency in the individual toward excessive fascination with the unusual, esoteric, unconventional and weird.

The third chakra is associated with the adrenal glands. When this chakra is energized, the energy can result in an increased level of enthusiasm, courage and compassion. It will also amplify any inherent tendency in the individual toward anger, hatred, an exaggerated sense of self importance and the seeking of power over others.

The fourth chakra is associated with the thymus gland. When this chakra is energized, the energy can result in an increased level of love, consideration, unselfishness, sincerity, honesty and a heightened appreciation of beauty and music. It will also amplify any inherent tendency in the individual toward jealousy and an excessive fascination with the opposite sex.

The fifth chakra is associated with the thyroid gland. When this chakra is energized, the energy can result in a strong will, smooth focus and an awakening of psychic abilities in general. It will also amplify any inherent tendency in the individual toward episodes of ecstasy and depression.

The sixth chakra is associated with the pineal gland. When this chakra is energized, the energy can result in a profound connection to the Source, or the Holy Spirit or God (depending on your choice of words). It can also awaken prophetic ability. It will also amplify any inherent tendency in the individual toward self exaltation, an over fascination with one’s own power and self, or to megalomania.

The seventh chakra is associated with the pituitary gland. When this chakra is energized, the energy can result in the awakening of full consciousness. This energy can also produce powerful personal charisma and the inherent ability to influence large groups of people. It will also amplify any inherent tendency in the individual toward self centeredness.

In addition to these Spiritual and energetic factors, there are physical and physiological effects manifesting in the physical body through the nervous and endocrine systems. The manifestation of this energy and its physiological effects facilitates changes in the physiology. The body has to adapt to these changes and may become stressed when it is not in condition for these changes. The physiological conditions associated with addictions to drugs, tobacco, alcohol, etc. can be particularly distressing. Poor nutrition, general toxicity and poor health in general can also be a problem. The importance of resolving addictions and poor lifestyle habits cannot be overemphasized.

The upside of all of this is that the whole process, when constructively engaged, is healing, re-generating and empowering.

Awakening Consciousness

What does “enlightenment” or “awakening” mean?

I wish to relate a personal experience on this. This occurred approximately 25 years prior to this article. I was browsing the shelves in a book store contemplating this very question, feeling a bit smug about my knowledge and experiences and it spontaneously hit me. To be awakened, enlightened, etc. requires that one have absolutely no inconsistencies, compromises, deceptions or lies within at all. This was not an insight, but a profoundly humbling experience. I was immediately made aware of all, and I mean all, of the compromises and moral rationalizations in my life. The difference between my life as it existed then and where I needed to be to stay in that space was vast indeed and clearly defined in complete detail. During those moments, I also experienced an expanded awareness, not only of myself but of others, the world and the universe. That too was profoundly humbling. This awareness faded as I was in no condition to sustain it, but it gave me a point of reference, a sense of what I needed to do to achieve it and at least a clue about what I am talking about.

Ideally, awakening consciousness and activating the kundalini energy should be a slow process of healing, self realization, purification and personal growth. It is with this in mind that this course was created. The initiation of the process of awakening through meditation and the introduction of tools to aid in cleaning up personal issues and karma before they become a traumatic issue is the general agenda.
