Biomimicry: 12 Sustainable Design Ideas from Nature

I love this video clip. I feel the people on this earth are moving in a better direction faster and faster. We are learning so fast now. I feel so good about it.
Wonderful video! Actually, the idea of biomimicry is not so new..Artists, engineers, inventors, engineers, architects have been getting ideas from nature for quite a while now.
What is it about people that we don’t do this one thing naturally. We don’t think about (or haven’t until now) the survival of our species in any long term way.
What a visionary. She inspires us while showing us how very silly we humans are when compared to the other lifeforms on our planet. We think we are so smart while we drink our cocktail of poisons. I am worried about her though…seems like every time someone comes forth with great revolutionary ideas that could change the course of the planet for the better…they ‘mysteriously’ die.
Reponse to responses – Yes we designers and inventors have engineered things inspired by mimicry for a long time, but now our scrutiny and breadth of biology is far better. There is fear of change and fear that design is more or too expensive for individuals to instill. It is not, We must prove our ideas are less expensive and are attainable by and for the masses, and the masses must insist on them in an organized way. Beyond hign technology, that is in low “garage” technology huge accomplishment is possible.
