Comments on: I Can’t Believe My Eyes !

I find it funny how you’ve mentioned that “my eyes don’t actually see,” and then you go on to say that “my eyes can perceive.” Sorry, I’m just a little confused by what you’ve written. ‘Seeing’ is “to perceive by the eye.” So, I guess the real question you should be asking yourself is — to see, or not to see?

It’s also pretty interesting, how if this were all true, why the brain supposedly decodes or perceives itself as so.. I mean, what is our brain if it’s not what we decode or perceive it to be?

Likewise, I think everything “physical” is only a matter-of-perspective. I feel as if the inside is the outside, as the outside is the inside. But then, why does “the inside” seem so much more abstract?

I believe that, similar to what you’ve suggested in this article — it’s not what we see, but how we see it that matters; in fact, that’s the only “thing” that matters…

Take heart and consider this: I once saw something amazing on TV (National Geographic Channel, I think it was) which showed a man who was totally physically blind from birth. Yet he could sit in front of any scenery and draw it perfectly with correct perspective and all. How could this be? (I remember thinking to myself, “Okay, what the heck is going on here?!!”) Anyway, the conclusion drawn by experts featured in the program was that we don’t actually need our eyes to physically see!

But that begs the question: What then is the real purpose of our eyes?

this is funny there is a book now out called a course in miracles that actually takes a year to work but the funny part is it claims all we see we created and that thier is a real world we dont see seems as if i read these things in some old carlos castaneda books we really do influence things now to do it better thanx

Hey since 1952 Lester had been telling us that we are not the body and mind and everything that we see is realy an ilusion.And the Release technique is still teaching us that and more. And this science just comfirms it.
