Being Aware by Nadine, N.D., C.N.S.

Greetings everyone and profound well wishes for the growth I know you are experiencing.  How could you not, with all the shifts happening on our magnificent planet and within our hearts?  Each time Mother Earth experiences a shift or change, each time you take a step along your Spiritual journey, your Physical body will also experience change with the need to integrate.

Personally I have had so many shifts in the past two weeks that I simply did not know what to write about.  Yet within is a powerful urging to ask this question:  Are you Being AWARE of what is happening within your body?

Further clarification on that question allows me to offer the following ponderings.

  • Are you aware of how much protein your body needs every few hours and/or on a daily basis?  (Note: your body can not store protein, it must be provided constantly)
  • Are you aware of the types of protein sources that uplift and provide nourishment versus the sources that may be working against your efforts?
  • Are you aware of the amount of carbohydrates your physical body needs versus the amount of carbs your emotional body craves.  Notice the shift in wording here.  The physical body needs fuel for energy, however it is the emotional body that spins or loops in the craving department.  ** key point **
  • Are you aware of the affect and effect of different sources of carbs within your body?  Recall there are simple carbs (fruit, candy etc); complex carbs (grains, legumes etc); and fibrous carbs (veggies).  As an example, I have one client who can tolerate the fructose from eating one apple.  At that point she will feel energized, even and balanced.  However, her body is unable to process the sugar should she eat an apple on a second day.  In overload mode she becomes depressed then experiences feelings of irritation and anger, lashing out at those around her.  ** this is a great find  **
  • Another great find is to discover how many carbs you can personally breakdown and utilize at one time.  Some folks can utilize 15g of carbs in each feeding while others can tolerate 50g.  Many folks find they go into a carb coma when ingesting more than the body is able to utilize.
  • Are you aware of the sources of fats that feel good within your body?  Feeling good can translate to words like uplifted, harmonious, balanced or steady versus short circuited, whacky, on a roller-coaster, fatigued etc.
  • Are you aware of how many hours of sleep your body needs to heal and rejuvenate your beingness?
  • Are you aware of your water intake and hydration?
  • Are you aware of healthy ways to assist releasing toxins out of your physical body?
  • Are you aware of when your emotional body is releasing so the physical body can assist in the release?

There are so many more questions that can be posed.  However there is quite a bit of information loaded within this message to allow you to take another step.

Assignment:

  • Get yourself a journal or blank sheets of paper.
  • Along the top of your paper create columns with Time of Day, Food Source, Quantity Fluid intake, Emotions/Feelings.  You can include other items that would be of value to you.
  • Track your food and fluid intake along with how you are FEELING for a week.  We are looking for when/why you might be tired, edgy, cranky, depressed, angry, frustrated, fatigued, weepy, etc.
  • Once there is an awareness of what is not working, steps can be taken to make the needed changes.

We have reached a point in our personal growth wherein each of us must ASK for our healing.  There are many folks waiting to assist each of us on our next steps.  They are WILLING to assist.  However, each of us are now sitting with the opportunity placed in front of us to reach out and REQUEST that assistance.  There is so much freedom on the other side of the asking.  Yes I am a Naturopath and Holistic Nutrition Specialist.  Yes I am willing to accept a few more private clients.  However you might have someone else that comes to mind to reach out to.  The end result is to make the changes needed so that you feel uplifted, vibrant and in well-being. So, with that in mind:

Are you Being AWARE of what is happening within your body?  The time is NOW!
