Ask Cyndi: Why Are Some People Blessed……

Why are some people blessed with lots of wealth? I’ve tried cosmic ordering, but without success, any suggestions?

Hi Maurice :-)

Before I answer with my words – I would like you to take a breath (a nice relaxed one – or maybe 3 – enough so that you feel yourself relax and open – just a bit….)

and then visit this page, read the story and listen to the song….

Into the Rain

Wow – right?  Does it help put your life (and your question?) into a slightly different perspective?

I believe, no – I know – that our lives are built around the questions we ask.  If Sean was asking “Why are some people strong and healthy and I am weak” then he would never be able to move into the vibratory state that enables him to find such joy is running in the rain.

and the world would be a darker place

So my first response is to be very very careful about the questions you ask – and how those questions make you feel.  Fill your life with questions that make you feel good – and whose answers will enhance your life :-)

So, that out of the way, I am wondering how these questions make you feel…

*In what ways can I bring more wealth into my life today?

*How can I become more grateful for the wealth I am currently blessed with?

*How can I most powerfully utilize the present moment to bring more wealth into my life ?

*Would I rather have more $$ or be happy? Can I Allow more happiness into my Life Now?

There are dozens of tools, that I am aware of, that can help all of us bring more prosperity into our lives – yet until we recognize that we must shift our focus – and do it regularly – into a vibratory emotional and mental state that will allow the abundance then we will always be to a greater or lesser degree on the outside looking in.

Take some time over the next few days to really watch your thoughts – and whenever you find that you are focusing on lack or less then or life’s not fair – or why not me – then get conscious and shift them around.  List all the ways you are abundant – all the ways your life is blessed.  Do something nice for someone else and let yourself appreciate how much power you have to control your emotional state.  You have choices, every moment, on how you approach life.  Choose to approach it as a human who knows that he is blessed and more and more blessings will come your way.

Sorry Cyndi, but i`ve got better questions for Maurice.
Maurice,do you believe your not blessed?Do you believe you have to be blessed to be wealthy?Do you have any judgements about people who make more money than you?Any judgements you have about someone or some occupationsal title and the amount of money a year that comes with that position will keep you from reaching that level of wealth.
For example, lets look at lawyers, lots of people fear or hate them.
If you hate a lawyer and you believe they make 100 grand a year, you wont want to make a 100 grand a year because you wont want anyone to hate you as you do the lawyer.
Also ask yourself has anyone in my life ever repeatedly said you have to be blessed to be weathly,or something similar to it.

Hi Maurice, I agree with Cyndi that a positive frame of mind helps a lot. I also think it helps to have some healthy habits around money – including the belief that you don’t have to be blessed to be wealthy and you don’t have to be wealthy to be blessed.

    Hi Cyndi,
My apologies, but I have a bit of a bone to pick with your last question, “Would I rather have more money or be happy?”. We have heard this very question many times in our lives. And this very question is one of the biggest reasons why so many people live in lack and limitation. It suggests that you can only have one or the other. Society also rampantly teaches this idea that you can only have money or happiness. And so, as a result, too many people believe that you can only have one or the other. And really, one person having that belief is one too many. That’s where stupid sayings like, You can’t have your cake and eat it too” come from. Honestly I never did believe that. It just didn’t sound right. So, I was very happy when I heard T. Harv Ecker say in a seminar and in this fashion, “That is the absolute STUPIDEST THING I EVER HEARD!!”. So, with all due respect, a question like that is not a good thing to put out into the public. Alot of people right now are trying to unlearn that idea. You certainly can have both. You CAN have money AND happiness. Have I ever experienced this myself? No. But so many people I do know of, have. People like Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield, John Assaraf, Richard Branson, Brendon Burchard, the list goes on and on. These people are all VERY happy and VERY wealthy. So, please be careful in the future, OK? Because you CAN have you cake and eat it too!

    Hi Brian;

The question “would you rather have money or be happy” is not meant to imply an either or by any means. This question comes from Lester Levenson who was the originator of the what was later to become either the Sedona Method or The Release Technique – and is designed to free you from the belief that you need anything at all to be happy…

“Would you rather have Suzie love you or would you rather be happy?”
“Would you rather be 150 pounds or be happy?”
“Would you rather Team X win the Superbowl or would you rather be happy”

Once you realize that nothing is “needed” in order for you to make the decision to be happy, in this moment now, you free up your energy to focus on preferences. You can say…

“I am Happy and from this state I choose abundance”

Personally – I intend the freedom of choice that comes from ever expanding abundance – and it is what I intend and desire. That said – I plan on being happy as I worked with the tools to get there – knowing that the state of happiness only helps the process :-)

I kind of understand what he is trying to say and I would give my own example.
I have been trying to reverse my situation around money for many, many years with no success.
I read Think and Grow rich probably 25 times and implemented it, among other long line of “Self help” books, did self hypnosis, mirror technique, affirmations all day long, I didn’t have to try to be positive because I’ve always been like that and everybody says it, meditation, Silva method, Maxwell Maltz, NLP,chanting and including a session with a Master EFT coach.
My thoughts are always of success and i always picture the life that I want to have.I even grew up with money.
I speak of wealth and I dream having the life that I want.
Now somebody tell me what else is there because my money situation is worse and worse to the point that I don’t even have a car anymore .
I don’t let it bother me too much but I deserve better than this .
    Dario

  6. Vesna says:

My dear Cyndi, the two of us seems to think on the same wave lengths. I think I have already told you about my late Mom and her common sense wisdom. Now when I myself turned 60, I remember her words clearly. Nothing that can be bought with money is not worth any bothering. But the things like love, friendship, comradeship, good health cannot be bought even with Bill Gate’s money. So, we should put the things into some sort of perspective. I cannot say I am wealthy, but on the other hand, I cannot say I am not either. We are not hungry, we live quite comfortably, and my daughter and her husband were able to spend the New Year holidays in Budapest, Hungary. How much is that worth? A quite new experience, new people to meet, and such. And when I tell you that I am calling from the bottom of the deepest black hole on the surface and in the mind of this šplanet of ours, you may imagine how it is. Yes, we do have people who live at the very verge of total poverty, you know. But my Mom, God bless her soul, instilled in my brother and me a very strong social solidarity trait – to help those who do not have even that little that you have. She never forgot the days when one apple in her home was cut into four parts so that they all can get a bite. And what has been leading me all through ,my life were her wisdom, her sense of humour, my personal charm that I inherited from her, my optimistic and cheerful attitude and LOADS of positive energy. These are things I have been sharing with my students for more than 30 years, and believe it or not (and I do not know how the people who are ‘wealthy’ manage in their everyday life), when the first of us goes pout unlocks the door of our apartment, we never lock it again by about 1 or 2 a.m. when the last of us goes to bed. But we are surrounded with thousands of good books, we listen to good music, and now, when I bought myself an electric piano to play, I am perfectly happy and content. Life has been so good to me so far, all my bills are paid in time, I have the job I adore, and I have a wonderful family. Would I like to change with Bill gates or the Queen of England? No chance!

By the way, that is one of the reasons why I adore this site. The guys promote some values that have been forgotten due to the noise of what we call ‘civilization’. Money? Of course, you still need it, but believe me, your personal contentment with your life is far m ore important – the knowledge that you have done well in all the areas of life.

  7. Brian says:

    Hi Cyndi,
Thank you for clearing that up. I understand that you may choose happiness first and then money from there. And with that clarification, one can see that. However, at face value, without that clarification, it is not so obvious. It often happens where people will hear this question and take it at face value without knowing the whole story. And most times the whole story is not explained to them and so they have no choice but to take it at face value. So I am very glad you cleared that up. In fact it happens all too often that people run with things in the wrong direction. Like, “Money is the root of all evil”. It took me a few years to get over that one too. I sure didn’t want God to slam the gates on me and say, “Uh, sorry. You aquired wealth. Blessed be the poor!”. God is not going to do that. He may anyway, though I hope not, but it won’t be for that reason. But that is also a misquote. It actually is, “The LOVE of money is the root of all evil”. Now that’s an entirely different scenrio. That said, there is someone on a popular business show up here in Canada, won’t say who, who confessed he loves money and nothing else. OK. He LOVES money. Now, he may be alot of things, and in my opinion, he is a real hard nose. But I wouldn’t say he is evil. True, you can have money without happiness. There are all too many miserable wealthy people out there to prove that. Also true, you can have happiness without money. But again, I like to follow T. Harv Ecker when he says, “I choose both!”.

  8. Brian says:

Oh, I forgot. Dario, there must be some belief you have around money or yourself somewhere. What you described doesn’t happen for nothing, though it can sometimes seem like it does. There has to be a belief somewhere. You need to find it. I understand it’s been a long time. And it seems like you must have covered everything by now. But keep digging. Don’t quit three feet from gold. You’ll find it. In my experience I thought I had a certain something by now. And I would say, “Why do I still keep getting this?!” Then after some time I find a belief and say, “Oh. OK.” And then I handle it. Another thing that happens is that you think you have handled a belief and you really haven’t. I have found that and after some digging, found out that that belief was still there. So I had to try a different way. Usually I get them eventually. So will you. Keep trying.

    :-)

Why I choose both as well – and not because wealth brings happiness – but because -for me anyway – I hold the belief that wealth provides a freedom of choice one doesn’t have without wealth – and an ability to serve that far outweighs anyone who must invest in a lot of effort on basic survival

Thanks Brian – for giving us all an opportunity to move into these questions deeper – it is fun and expansive :-)

Thank you to all of you for your insights – it was a lovely post to read my first day back at work.I choose both as well!!!

And yes, I too have looked at others longingly and thought that they had something I didn’t…. funny thing is, it turned out to be simply my perception! As Brian says it seems to work in layers upon layers of unraveling and seeking and questioning (the right questions that is).

Asking the right questions are very important, being grateful for what you have is equally so. Try to focus less on other people and more on who you are and what you have…..and remember to look back every now and then and see how far you have already come.

    Lots of love and blessings!
